i think my ******* problem is that everything is so goddamn interesting i dont know what direction to lead my life in. science, medicine, nutrition, foreign policy, history, politics, food, cooking, restaurants, beer, wine, whiskey, coffee, tea, clothes, shoes, literature, physics, mathematics, biochemistry, economics, cosmology, finance, movies, tv shows, dancing and fitness. i wouldnt mind working in any one of those so i end up not doing anything or being an expert in anything but a lazy pretentious ignorant douchebag in everything.

Yeah, I suffer from the jack of all trades affliction as well.

I've been lucky enough to find a job that rewards that--I don't necessarily have to be the best at anything, but if you give me a new/different problem that needs a functional solution fast, I can deliver (which beats having to let 4 different people take a crack at it before you find an answer).

Outside of work though, it is kind of just annoying--too much small bits knowledge about everything that probably just makes me sound like a pretentious hack.

Submerge it in a container of rice for a few days. Shake it around every few hours to loosen any water. Go, do it quickly.

Not crazy. From my understanding the reason rice (or salt, but salt can get into cracks) works is they absorb the moisture. You need to take the battery/psu out of the garmin first. PCBs are washed in soap and water, so moisture is only bad when there's a running current.

Life after college.
Life after college is so different. Priorities change. People change. Situations change.
Half a year ago, life consisted of waking up at 10:15 at the earliest for class, getting hammered with my buddies Fri/Sat, and being lazy on Sundays.
Now I'm on the road every single week, flying across the country to sit in a small conference room with married dudes for 12 hours a day. I sleep in hotel beds more than I do my own.
I'm moving to a completely new city where I don't know anyone in a month from now.
The occasional drama between girls/friends? Hello to office politics and sucking up to incompetent bosses/managers.
Friends who used to be so fun to be around are now boring and distant because of girlfriends.
I'M BECOMING SO JADED.
But at the end of the day, I'm so ******* excited to move to Dallas.
:slayer:

lol.

So I think i lol-ed about my roommate's haircut in this thread, he looks exactly like this now, only add really obnoxious glasses that he thinks are cool and manage to be really douchey and with a different type of dumb.

I really have no idea what he was thinking giving himself that haircut.

However, I go shower this morning, and he trimmed it up apparently because all his hair was still in the sink, which is clogged up due to his hair being in the drain.

Anyway going to tell work today I'm looking for other jobs when I remembered I'm working on a major logistical project that will last through the summer. So I'm not looking forward to it?

The bra I got for her ended up being too small. Apparently, it's a little tight everywhere but wearable. Still a win for me since I'm getting flicks regardless.

Some poor dumb bastard just came in about his custody case. I feel bad for him but he's just been doing everything wrong and won't listen to how to fix the situation.

"jack of all trades, master of none." I feel you... I had this same problem upon finishing my bachelor's (... and before that as well!) There are very few things in which I'm not at least reasonably interested...additionally I have significant skill sets in very diverse areas. This made it difficult to focus on just one area, or preferably to incorporate as many as possible into something constructive and achievable. It took me some experimentation, trial-and-error and soul-searching but eventually I was able to do it. Keep an open mind and follow any compelling opportunities... I stumbled upon my path somewhat by chance from an unexpected opportunity. Good luck to you!
FWIW: I realize now the reason for scepticism as to my C.V., not aware the the maj. of you may be just post-college/beginning careers. You will meet people with mulitiple degrees/career/ profession changes and may find yourselves explaining during interviews why you abandoned one for the other. I have colleagues that got LLD, did a firm for a few years, establisherd a "capital base" then opened restaurants, retail bus., a few went to Med school, another friend who-after his Phd in biology- got his MD, at 32, offered position in private equity/VC firm as medical/health field analyst, happy as hell.
My Father always advised to use every position as a stepping stone. College was where you go to experiment and discover. Most of us decide at 40, where life begins as they say....and then a lot of friends lost their careers in the past few years as everything collapsed. If you don't like what you do you will suck at it, move on until you can't wait to get to work in the AM.
