How expensive it is to get stuff framed. $750 for two small prints?!?

That was my thinking as well. Theoretically he could have swapped out the existing bulb for a dead one, but that seems fairly unlikely.

Wow. Even if the frames were literally gold-leafed by hand, made from the most vintage of rare woods, you still got ripped off. I can't imagine charging more than $300 for the finest framing job you can imagine, especially on a small print.

If I were an unscrupulous mechanic I would have discovered a faulty sensor in the hydro dynamic thermo induction system that costs $ 537.75 for parts and $352.50 for labor not the markup on a $30 headlamp

Just got back from my brother's wedding in the Hamptons. It was wonderful in lots of ways, but I also had to listen to members of the bride's family going on about how they don't like queers.

I'm supposed to be on a trip with a couple of colleagues today and tomorrow, along with a guy who was going to serve as our guide, to do a bunch of site visits. We were supposed to leave the office at 6:30. Unfortunately, I woke up multiple times in the middle of the night feeling like shit because of some sort of bug or food poisoning, and now I have to bail on the trip. I feel like a complete idiot, but I just can't do the trip the way I'm feeling.

In all honesty I did suffer through lots of events like this and brown-nosed quite a bit back in the day. Still have to do a bit of it on occasion, but not as much, and I more so than ever have the option of just screwing it.

Good decision though I'm sure a difficult one to make. Your colleagues will thank you for not making their excursion less enjoyable.

Hope you feel better, soon.
