Apple iOS does it ok, I think. alerts you to an update, queues it up and lets you kick it off when you're good and ready

Hangover! Went to a local cafe with the wife and they had a very pleasing stout on tap. The one became two and the two became many. Brain aches eyes not the best and I have to go to the gym.

Wonderful.

So this happened.

I started coming down with a cold on Monday, and it has gotten worse every day since. It went from, "eh, this isn't so bad" to "I had trouble eating dinner tonight because I couldn't breathe through my nose." Usually, when I get sick, I've turned the corner by the third or fourth day, but this is day four and it's the worst so far. This is also the second time in a month that I've caught a cold (though the last one was much milder).

Oh, and to top it off, I can't take any time off to relax and try to beat it because I don't yet have any leave time at my new job.

Sorry to hear you're sick, but I'm sure your employer will understand if you request a sick day or two.. I mean, you don't want to be the guy that gets other people sick.

Youtube stubbornly refuses to load any videos. I have a 50 M/s and nothing, won't even buffer for more than one second at a time. So I search for Youtube fixes etc. First hit is a guy explaining how to fix it. In a YOUTUBE VIDEO. ffffuuuu.gif

Get well soon G

...

house got broken into this morning.

*backstory* we live in an older neighborhood, reasonably well-to-do, open access, fairly close by the freeway. There has been a rash of robberies, and the timing of it has made it clear that our neighborhood is being watched. /backstory

Today was our turn. I was at the office, the wife (who usually works from home) went to a meeting, and not an hour later I get a call from the alarm company. Alarm tripped, outside bedroom door.

As it turns out, we added a new pet a few weeks ago. a 50-lb Doberman. Rescue pet. Loves us, freaks out at strangers. She sleeps on our bed when we're out. She was waiting on the bed for me when I got home. I swept the house and didn't see anything amiss (or a-missing). And she got an extra bone and lots of scratches behind the ears this evening.

Bad story but a great dog, sorry to hear about it all the same Thomas. There was a story here just the other day where some guy woke up to a stranger creeping around his house at 11pm which would freak me out.

I'm really sorry to hear that, Thomas. Hopefully, word will get around that your house is not the one to break into.
