Things that are pissing you off. - Page 3049

That's a stupid interview question. You're begging someone to lie to you. Is anyone going to answer "stop using my ben wa balls at work" or "stop waking up under the bar"?

Brutal, my father had this issue and never spoke well of it. Guess that goes without saying but I feel for you all the same.

The weave I suspect. LC bought this one for me and I've never been able to match it well with stuff I own so when I can I feel all chuffed but this is the second time it's snagged. This time it's much higher up on the weave and had driven me crazy.

Stupid question which indicates that the person driving the meeting has no idea what to ask, I think. Clearly the answer would be "My current level of wealth as I would rather be on a beach but I am here attempting to answer this question in a fashion that gets me a job."

No idea how to answer this "correctly" in an interview scenario

I'd have x-ray vision on command.

iirc, there have been threads on fixing that. is it beyond repair?

2 things:

  • Amazon Prime feels pretty useless when you put in an order on saturday and expected delivery isn't until wednesday. I know that it is still 2 business days from the first business day after you order...but Saturday-Wednesday is slower than priority mail--no mail delivery on sunday, but the trucks and planes are still moving across the country 24/7.
  • I have 3 pairs of new shoes that I haven't worn. I finally got around to conditioning/polishing the calf ones and protecting the suede ones (if possible I prefer to do this before wearing...no idea how long a pair sat on a shelf so they get some reno just to be safe) but there has been occasional rain and more rain forecast for the rest of the week. I've got no real problems wearing shoes in the occasional rain, but I'm not going to put on brand new shoes and walk out into the rain when I have several shoes ideally suited to the weather (wearing my chromexcel, commando-soled, AE Bayfiedls today).

I don't think so and I'll have to search some to track those down, good idea and thanks.

---

my parents went away on a mini vacation yesterday for a few days. today they went to the cemetery to visit where my grandmother was buried, and when they went back to the rental car to leave, the car had been broken onto. whole back windshield shattered, and they took my mothers laptop and my fathers coat and hat. bunch of fucking animals.

who the hell steals from a car at a cemetery? my mom has all her work stuff on the computer and now she has to deal with that, besides having to buy a new computer, and what the hell did they need to take my fathers jewish garb for? absolute human trash. so pissed.

Stitch, really sorry to hear this. No place is sacred, unfortunately. I hope your mom doesn't run into too many problems with the laptop issue.

So sorry to hear that, Stitchy.

I have to evaluate the teaching of some people who are lower than me in the department hierarchy. Unfortunately, the letters I'm going to have to write will be fairly negative. I sure wish I could evaluate someone who was doing a great job. I don't take any joy in writing negative evaluations, but I have to do it.

Sorry to hear that stitch. I hope everything is easily remedied, outside of the sense of violation.
