Its weird dealing with my mom now... she's funnily turned essentially into an internet troll - just courting drama even with texts. I'm not sure how to even deal with new found mommy issues going into my mid 30's.

The part that makes me want to pull my hair out is the expectation to give straight cash to my "cousins in need". They are all basically very rich recently with my parent's older siblings dying in the past decade - they sold off all the inherited lands and are rolling in cash. Its just that my mom likes the idea of giving them money. I don't mind paying for things like school tuitions, medical insurance, seed money for small businesses - as long as its organized - but straight cash into bank accounts? fuck that i know that will go straight to uselessness. I might as well just set money on fire.

This is where white people really have it good. For the most part it's considered shameful to take family charity and most white families would never have this built in expectation to give other members money. On the flip side life tends to be very "sink or swim" for white people.

Good thing most white people know how to swim, amirite?

Would trailer parks be the shallow end of the pool?

I think that trailer parks would be the deep end. The silver spoon white folks are in the shallow end where it's easy to not drown, but entirely possible with too much alcohol/drugs.

Hope you're getting a complimentary loaner.

Sadly, no such perk for a 9-year-old car frown.gif.

Fortunately, I have a couple of days of work and a nice vacation sandwiched in between the time I get back home and my car should be ready by then. Can't complain too much, either, cause my warranty is starting to pay for itself now. Getting a lot of shit replaced / fixed.

if you bought the car from the dealer you're getting it serviced at, you'll get a loaner. took my 13 year old E46 for a new radiator and got a F30 328i. didn't really need it but it was nice to have and keep mileage off my other cars

Yeah, I would have, but that dealership is back in Mass. That dealership also gave me a $1,000 gift card to use for repairs / maintenance a couple months back and it's been collecting dust.. so this would have been the perfect time to use it.. :shrugs:

If I were you, I'd have skipped the loaner and just cruised in the GT3 devil.gif.

I'm severely disappointed in you its like you love your dog more than your family. You're dad and I are going to die soon."

sheesh - thanks for the happy birthday text mom.

the weird part is how I was never a problem child. My other two siblings growing up were so much older than me (8 and 9 years) and had such high strung drama filled high school/college years/adult lives. My parents were old and worn out by the time I came around (I was a "miracle/unexpected" menopausal baby). I have to constantly remind them that I'm the normal one that doesn't need money or isn't in some huge dilemma that needs fixing.

This is the downside of winning life. It's not worth the effort to poke at those who have done nothing but those that have worked hard and got half way through the rat race are the best to throw stones at. I'm not saying this is what your mom is doing but it tends to be the case.

I'm a little late here, but I just wanted to pass along my condolences to you, L'Inc. Terribly sorry to hear you lost such a treasured companion.

The six nations England v Wales score, not ideal by any means.
Warning: Spoiler! (Click to show)
fucking fuck fuck fuckers. Most of those points were penalties that shouldn't have been given, the rest were our own stupid fault. Grow up, you're meant to be a world class team, not giving away 7 penalties on trivial form grounds.
