Bad customer service always pisses me off.. Just wrote this to a online MTM shirt company...

Dear Jan and fellow SF members,

I have purchased a shirt from Solosso back in December 2012 and I will give a review on them. My blood pressure almost went through the roof during these time as the suspense is too much for one man to handle.

First, Solosso just does not stop giving surprises! I ordered my shirt back on 17 December. I know it was a bad timing due to the holiday season, so a slight delay might happen. Keep in mind Solosso promises the shirt to be delivered 3-4 weeks. Here comes the first surprise, it arrives on February 21! What happened during these 2 months? First, it was due to my bad measurements, and therefore production was delayed, fair enough.

Second, my shirt was 'made' and shipped on 4 February 2013. In which, I was told it was shipped via 'DHL'. I requested for a tracking number, guess what? Surprise #2! I only received a tracking number on 12 February! Only 8 days for 'DHL' to produce a tracking number, no problem, at least I got my tracking number, which lead to the next thing...

Third, I was happy enough when I was told the shirt will be shipped via DHL. Here comes surprise #3, no sign of the item being shipped via DHL at all, tracking number was generated by Singpost (Singapore Postal). Now keep in mind, between December 17 of 2012 and February 2013, there has been a lot of emails going back and forth, apparently from Solosso's explanation, they are experiencing production difficulties due to some management problems, hence the delay in producing and shipping my shirt. As a consumer, I do not need these explanations, all I need is some actions taken to do any damage control or any form of compensation. Speaking of which...

Fourth, because of the uber failure that occurred, Solosso decided to give me a credit of 50% (hoping I would forgive them and order another shirt) of the value of the shirt I purchases as, they failed 50% of their brand promise, and I doubt that this would not have happened unless I've raged over the emails on how bad I was handled. 2 months of my time and I was valued 50% of a shirt, no problem, least there is some action taken.

Fifth, when the shirt finally arrived on February 21, here comes another surprise. WRONG SHIRT. I ordered a Light Blue Twill shirt, and the shirt that came was a checkered shirt with Monogram (if anyone ordered that shirt you can just pay me the shipping, if you still want the shirt that is... I could probably ship faster than Solosso and by DHL). The most interesting part is, when I checked the website, the fabric I picked, is gone.

Last but not least, you gotta love the conclusion, right? I have sent 2 emails now since February 21 and have gotten 0 response. So, after all that, how many % of the brand promise that Solosso has failed? Did you just fled? This is cute...

So, what's next?

Sincerely,

A patient customer

That's a terribly written letter. Go to consumerist.com and learn how to write an effective complaint letter.

All I need is to get my message across. Did just that.

Early in my career there was a morning when I felt like crap. I went home at lunch to take a short nap and ended up sleeping the whole afternoon. Missed a couple meetings because of it.

At one area prison when I visit clients they out us in a secure private room. When the meeting is over they take the prisoner out and I wait, then the guard comes back for me and escorts me out. Once I was so hungover that after the meeting while I waited for the guard to come back I leaned against the wall in my chair and fell asleep. The guard forgot about me and I didn't use the intercom to ask for anybody because I was asleep. the shifts changed and then I woke up 6 hours later and had to explain why I was in the prison. Awkward.

You made 5 complaints but didn't list 1 resolution. You also used the word "uber".

One thing I have learned from CGI is that the old addage 'seeing is believing' no longer holds true. I hope people the world over will become more vigilant than ever before so as not to trust their eyes. This technology is truly wonderous, yet holds within it, a breeding ground for abuse and disaster. Now, mainstream media, corporations or even governments can deceive the world on a scale unimaginable. Yesterday I hated CGI. Today I fear it.

you can say its the most effective type of optical illusion - where you never even question it the first place.

Warning: Spoiler! (Click to show)
i remember watching this back in 2009... it really made me cautious whenever I'd see news clips of things like war/terrorist bombings in the middle east. Sure there are blatant CGI'd effects in movies, but that youtube clip really freaked me out... how many times have you watched something like Monk, Thirty Rock, or Law and Order and didn't give a 2nd thought that they were walking on the hills of san francisco, in front of 30 rock plaza, or somewhere i Times Square - when it was actually all just CGI'ed in on a sound stage.

3 out of the 127 applicants to Berkeley's Management of Organizations PhD program were admitted. I was not one of them musicboohoo[1].gif

Sorry you didn't get in, but hopefully you applied to multiple programs. I don't know what program this is but 127 applicants for 3 slots isn't that unusual; in fact, for top programs the number of apps for the available slots seems low.

Yup yup, applied to a few more. Berkeley was one of two top choices (the other being INSEAD, from whom I've not yet heard anything). My father's response to the news that I didn't get in was simply "That doesn't surprise me." Nice and deliberately ambiguous (was he referring to the difficulty of the program or my quality as an applicant).

This is why I'm a workaholic.
