Quoted again for the brutal truth.

Funny thing is the girl, who's a couple of years older, shows signs of working it out for herself (i.e. that it's nice to have consideration for others). I hope she manages to continue - I'll do what I can to help.

Yeah, it's kind of funny to watch people separate their actions from their logical results, but at the same time it really only takes one permissive and pushy parent to undercut the other: kid gets what he wants from parent A so parent B either goes along or keeps pushing the rock uphill. But, Biscotti, if I were in your shoes I wouldn't go to the birthday - it's a kind of validation and acceptance of this behavior, particularly if you bring a gift.

I haven't worn a belt in over a year. Suspenders, FTW.

Mealy mouthed mo-fos that make wild accusations against fellow managers in email and then backpedal it when the facts get teased out.

Verbal coaching and progressive discipline. People terminate themselves as I do not terminate people. wink.gif

See my previous posts about HR...

j/k. A friend (interim CEO that specializes in turnarounds) , practiced the mantra that if you had the time to gossip, you didn't have enough work. Therefore, accept the extra workload or leave the company. foo.gif

My wisdumb teeth are giving me more and more problems, and eventually I'm going to have to out with these fuckers. Right now I have a nasty infection back in one of them and it's making me miserable. It's not that it's super painful or anything, just uncomfortable to chew and it's even spread a little to where the left side of my throat feels a little inflamed. But it's the thinking about it, the bacteria invading my mouth, the thought that there might be pus oozing back there, and that my breath might stink (I can't smell for shit) that's the worst.

Be careful with teeth infections. That shit can spread to your heart. My uncle almost died from leaving a tooth infection for too long now his heart is very weak.

This. My father's business partner had a heart attack about a year ago that was caused by a dental infection.

I have a Dr. appt. today for an unrelated issue; I will ask for antibiotics. Thanks for the heads-up. My wife had said same, but I scoffed at it.

I've noted the expense of salad. If you make one yourself it is much, much cheaper. Salads are always outrageously expensive on menus.

If you get certain heart conditions or cardiac operations, i.e. valve replacement, you have to get on antibiotics prior to any dental work. Serious shit here, Doug, so take care!
