Seems like every American who is hep has a favorite European soccer team. My favorite team is Benfica, but I don't think they are a favorite team that a hep person can have. So now I have to decide whether to remain loyal to Benfica or pick another team so as to be hep. Life is hard that way.

I root for Newcastle because my British friend in college was a Newcastle fan. They seem pretty hip.

If Benfica squared off against either of those teams, I would definitely root for Benfica. Same for any English Premier League team, I think.

I would consider rooting for Guimarães, but their uniforms are disqualifyingly bad.

I became angry today and punched my bathtub. (I was in it at the time.) I really need to break the habit of punching things when I am angry.

No, that is not what happened. I do not even have a rubber duck. If such a duck had said that, though, I might have become angry.

I was thinking about how hard I've been working the last few weeks and about how the results of that work seemed fairly paltry. Much of the work I've been doing lately is just clearing the docket.
