You're such a nerd. I keep thinking about emulating you and then you throw this in.

The wife and little man were both sick last week with a pretty nasty cold that I managed to avoid (which made me very happy). This was great because last week was a huge week for me for a lot of reasons, and being sick would have been a huge problem. Well, the wife woke up this morning feeling super nauseous, and over the weekend it seemed like the little man was snottier than he had been, which makes me wonder if he's caught a new cold. Thing is, I CANNOT get sick this week, either. Actually if I got sick today, it would be okay, but being sick on Friday would be a catastrophe. Now I'm going to spend all week worrying I'll pick something up from them, and I feel like I'm on borrowed time since I didn't catch anything last week (even though I know they're independent events).

I'm a big swinging dick and therefore can indulge my inner nerd without embarrassment.

And opera pumps are kinda like kung fu shoes and those cats are fast as lightning.

My wifi hasn't been connecting. It's getting annoying. Stupid iphone.

If you want to speed and push your car why not go to the track? You avoid the risk of getting a ticket and you can really have fun. I'm not sure what the appeal is of only going 20+ mph on the highway

I feel your pain, G-man. My little one ran a fever yesterday and was really out of sorts - the first time I've ever noted her really being miserable over sickness. Kids can usually power through that sort of thing better than adults... at least when they are really tiny. And yesterday my wife and I also started to feel not so great. And this week is really a week where I have no margin for missing time. Hoping this sniffle I have doesn't get feverish like it did for the kid. Who, of course, had to sleep in our bed last night

Also.... can openers. WTF? Why are can openers always of such completely shit quality? The can opener is like this microcosm of what's wrong with manufacturing, China, quality, and the American consumer. The ability to preserve foods through canning foods is one of the fundamental success factors behind the quality of human life on this planet, and we can do amazing things with computers and iPhones and everything else, but we can no longer make a can opener that works successfully for an extended period of time.

We have one from OXO that we bought after becoming similarly annoyed. It's been great so far.
