Who do you think I've asked to perform the root canal?

I've had a cavity drilled without novocaine once. It was...not enjoyable, but also not as awful as one would imagine. Basically, any time I grunted in pain they assumed that they had reached healthy tooth and started elsewhere.

That was pretty much my experience as well. Was fine most of the time, and every now and then they would hit healthy tooth which would give a brief, quick shock of pain, then they would move on. Wasn't the worst thing in the world, but I don't think I'd go looking for it again either.

Still, it was great not having that numb mouth/face thing for a whole day.

I got some work done at the tailor on a Caruso suit, which I'm wearing today. I now fear that the jacket is too long, and the legs still aren't slim enough. So naturally I will spend all day obsessing over this. ffffuuuu.gif

And the worst part is, it's not long by normal standards, it's just longer than my SF-trained eye can tolerate.

Look on the bright side; too long and not slim enough are both fixable problems. If it was too short and too skinny, then you'd have real problems.

jeez. I kinda like having an excuse for being a drooling idiot.

I had an incisor that had a cavity and it was numbed, but not enough. Eventually he hit a sensitive spot and kept at it for the next few minutes. I put new indentations in his chair and took a long time to pay him.

Oh, and our little lady has developed a fever - it went up again at 1 a.m. , so guess who's going on 2 hours' sleep today.

Yeah, true. Plus too short/too tight looks comical.

Rolled up to drop the little one off at school today - empty parking lot. I'm all "WTF," jump online, see that school is 2 hours late today. We got like, 1/2" of slush last night. It's not even fucking freezing outside. So little precip it didn't even occur to me to look at the reports. It's a 2 hour fucking rain delay. This is a private school, not a baseball game.

Scrambled and came up with a solution - dropped the kid with my mom, who will take her down at school time. Still puts me into work an hour late, but better than 2-1/2 hours late. On my way, on a country road, get blasted by a salt truck coming the other direction.

I flew into DC this morning for a meeting, and get to the meeting to find it's being delayed because of the weather. It's only raining and 34 degrees. So I decide to go shopping and find that some stores are opening late. It's only rain. confused.gif
