Loud people, especially women, when I'm trying to work.

The lack of sleep and food is annoying, but holding a brand new person for a few hours was pretty damned cool. thank you for the concern, though smile.gif

I remember reading an article back in the 90's about how there's almost a majority of babies born out of wedlock/serious relationship in iceland?

Sounds about right, but it isnt what you think. People just dont really give any fucks about getting married here, they cohabitate for years and usually only get married when there's a financial or legal reason to do so.

thats exactly what the article was. marriage isn't really important but helping out with the kid is. so the icelandic people just have kids and everyone willingly helps out (including the grand parents).

Neo, I can't think of a better way to spend a day than binge eating and passing the rest of the night together on the couch in a food-induced coma watching TV with you.

Brand new little people rock. The day I held the littlest Canuker I knew what I was missing in life and was sad that I didn't get to do it with Miss Junior Canuker(not that I would change the chance LC gave me to be "Dad"). It's odd what and when life might give you but I'd roll with that little person for as long as you are able to do such, it changes every view you might have had the day before.

Tenants downstairs knocked on our door at 7:30 while I was doing dishes. Water was running down the wall from the ceiling of their bedroom under where the kitche sink is. Sitting at home now waiting for the plumber to come and give me the bad news.

The joys of home ownership. Speaking of, I apparently have a lovely little family of rats living in my attic. I have no idea what the exterminator is going to charge but I can tell you that I really don't need this shit right now.
