would it be appropriate for you to reach out to her? confronted with such a life-changing situation, it may be a huge uplift to her to get a nice surprise that someone still cares. this won't work, of course, if you're pretty sure that she still hates you

She actually texted me today, and we had a good conversation. I would not have reached out to her first, to be honest, because the last thing I'd want to do is introduce any more stress into her life (even though that obviously wouldn't have been my intention.)

I'm so sick of digging through all these repetitive jangle pop/neo-psychedelic/ songs that are all nearly carbon copies of each other.

Just listen to the Talking Heads.

It's funny I started listening to a few of these new bands pitchfork is raving about just yesterday. I don't understand it at all. I then listened to Led Zeppelin and felt better.

Also, when I was standing in line at the store KISS came on on the radio. I thought of L'In and smiled. I didn't really smile, but in my head I was smiling. I was probably actually frowning because I don't like KISS.

I don't know if I've ever heard KISS on the radio at the store. Which song was it? If it was Parasite or Almost Human or Rocket Ride, that would be the coolest thing. Or maybe Charisma.

I was born on the same day KISS was. (The day Ace Frehley joined the band.)

You're just getting old. I started feeling this way around the age of 25 I think.

I never really felt that sort of emptiness before--it was worse than breaking up with a girlfriend.

Great news!!!

A lot of guys put a massive amount of self worth into thier job. I have a client whom lost his job about 9 months back, I was speaking to his wife yesterday as they are seeking a different advisor who promises more growth in thier investments, which is something I am not able to do, and he has been talking about exiting stage left....yikes. I wished them the best but that's not something I'm wanting to get involved with. I really wish that people in my buisness didn't promise the moon, it just makes us all look bad for the sake of a couple dollars in commision as we all know it isn't going to happen. Oh to have such a great level of insight on the markets yet to be so altruistic as to share it with us bottom feeders, please.
