Yeah, just go ahead and tell me to get back home at midnight on Fridays so I can spend two days there and fly back in on Mondays.
Oh, and he just got promoted to the managerial role. That probably explains why he's so eager to overwork us for his benefit. Fucker.

Eh, as an entitled gen-yer myself, I don't think that sounds too entitled. I mean...that's not the shit you signed up for. Consultants seem to sign on to a pretty standard deal. The deal is that you are never going to have any weeknights at home (so don't get a pet and good luck keeping up with dusting the place)--you're flying home late thursday night in time to go to bed or you're out friday morning. You still have to work on friday, but when you are done, you are home (whether that be 5PM, 7PM or 9PM). Part of the deal is that in exchange for travelling 50 weeks a year, your friday-sunday evenings are when you get to see your wife or your friends or your girlfriend; you might still have to work on saturday, but you will be in town and it probably won't go too late.
Flying late and getting back home at midnight is is pretty shitty (hope you enjoy airport dinners)...it's not like they are paying you more even though they took away a third of your nights at home (and a full half of the "good" nights).
edit: for instance, if I suddenly started having to do weekly travel, I would be none too happy. I didn't sign up for that shit and if you're not going to pay me more to do it, there is going to be a problem.
