My first day back since the 19th. Was up at 4 to get an early start at work. All I've done for the last few hours is respond to e-mail. It'll only get worse as people show up to work this morning. I feel like I'm being punished for taking time off. Had a very good break though.

Bought a custom suit from Andrew Lock, received it about 5 weeks ago and I still can't get my fat ass into it. I put on a few pounds after I ordered my first one (in July/August) but like an idiot I convinced myself I'd be losing the weight I put on after my wedding and kept same measurements...still can't work the vest although I did drop a few pounds and fit the pants and jacket...

My girlfriend left yesterday for L.A. for work training. 2 weeks without her.

did not realize a project was due at 9AM today. thought by end of business. had it in by 9:50. boss not happy. ugh.

thought I'd sharpened all my razors this weekend. Nope. They weren't sharp enough. Thankfully I had a good backup.

Woke up at like 4am and couldn't go back to sleep.

You a straight razor man? Or do you re-sharpen DE blades?

Straight razor. I'm not sure how I'd resharpen a DE blade, actually.

via text i have learned that the wife, baby and 6 year are apparently sick. seems like they just cant turn the corner.

I have had this lingering congestion for a while. I don't really get sick too. Must be strong, this bacteria.

The first day of the spring semester is off to a great start. Students in my first class told me the bookstore didn't have two of the books, including the one we're supposed to start with. More precisely, they do have they books, but they are in the back room waiting to be processed. Did they not know the semester was starting? When the hell did they plan to process the books?

Good luck Biscotti. I recently had a slap in the face / awakening a few weeks back (though somewhat less dramatic), and it knocked me into a really dark place. I'm still not completely back to my usual oblivious self, but I can vouch for the fact that time heals.

Fuck. Fuck, fuck, fuck. Gone through most of my emails and realized I now have business commitments five of the six remaining weekend days in January, some of them as bad as seven hours on a Sunday, and late meetings two of the remaining Fridays. WTF is this?
