Things that are pissing you off. - Page 2697

Whole Paycheck has put a lot of our local organic markets out of business, yet their selection of organic produce actually sucks. TJs produce is just plain awful, but they're great for alot of other stuff, like milk, eggs and cereal.

Not a fan of WF or TJ. The employees at TJ smell and tend to be do-gooders, at least in the store here. WF is outrageously priced for the items I buy.

No, I was more amused by that. The $5 Rice Krispies is what pissed me off

Whole Foods is absurd. They have some nice stuff that I'd consider paying for, but you'd be an idiot to get staple items there. They really are significantly more expensive, for exactly the same brands. Their meats/seafood look nice, but they're way too expensive for me to consider buying. I'm not paying $16/lbs for salmon when I can get nice fresh stuff for $6 at the ethnic grocery place. My wife loves the idea of WF, and not surprisingly she's never aware of relative prices.

I like Traders Joes, but mostly for treats shog[1].gif

I haven't really bothered with Whole Foods since I got a Central Market. Their meat market is fantastic, albeit really expensive.

I love my Whole Foods. The staff is really friendly and helpful. Sure, it's pretty expensive, and you would be a fool to have it be your sole shopping destination, but for where I am, it's clearly the most reliable option for quality produce, it has the best cheese selection around, and the meats are pretty high quality. Beef, in particular, makes sense to get there.

My father-in-law has gotten in a habit of driving drunks after holiday parties and such and apparently had an epic night out New Years Eve and then drove home. Now my wife is super pissed and called him up to call him out on his shit. He's pretty overt about it too, thought it was a funny story until she laid into him.

Don't think I've ever seen her this pissed off before.

I use a local butcher for most of my everyday meats. Well, most of my special meats too, like whole Packer's cut briskets, the chuck tender for tartare, duck fat, etc. We get most of our greens from family owned green grocery type place.

I have a client who owes me big time. I haven't paid for sausage or pork or bacon in three years. How am I doing?
