There's a p90x thread on here somewhere. It is pretty good for what it is.

I did most of a run through (broke my hand somewhere in the 3rd segment and thus couldn't finish) and I took photos before as well as after the first and second segments...there were very noticeable improvements.

I wasn't following the diet plan (although I don't eat terribly) and I was using a cheap set of resistance bands. Was doing the higher rep sets, since I wasn't looking to add bulk...the low rep version might require actual weights. Once you get in the habit of it, it gets easier to stick with. And if you use the google docs spreadsheet to track it, you will really not want to have a big gaping hole in your records which will push you to make up any workout you miss.

Sheesh, lots of terrible shit happening with family and friends in the new year. Good luck with your employee Douglas.

Sorry to hear about these things Acid and Doug.

Last night I had my happy hour rudely interrupted due to a work emergency. Nothing like an hour on and off the phone helping work through something to kill a happy hour buzz. Thankfully things worked out in an hour, the night went on, and I plan to charge yesterday as a full day worked.

Sorry about your grandmother acid, best of luck to your employee Doug.

...

Went to the kitchen to make tea and apparently the pipe under the sink broke while I was gone. Now I have to spend my morning fixing this, and I don't have any food in the fridge. Life's hard.

I'm pretty sure I've developed plantar fasciitis, going to see the podiatrist as soon as he can fit me in.

if you need some relief, take a regular plastic water bottle and put it in the freezer. once its iced, roll it under your foot for 15-20 minutes. then try and stretch it out a bit.

There are some videos on runners world that you might find helpful.

The latest installment in The Adventures of My Sister's Fuck Ups...

So my great aunt who is effectively our grandmother moved to Atlanta a few years ago. She is nearly 80, I forget exactly but is having real trouble moving around now and is sick. Basically not expected to live that much longer. Well, her and my sister had been talking about genealogical research on our family, its something my aunt is very interested in and my sister was just getting into it, really doing some in-depth research and they spent a lot of time talking about it. They were going to get lunch yesterday.

Except my sister stood her up.

Which I would be surprised by if she hadn't done it to me so many times growing up (and is probably partly why I'm perpetually afraid people are going to do the same to me. It was always a big deal as a kid for me to hang out with her and when she wouldn't call or anything it seriously hurt my feelings for days afterward).

So anyway, my aunt called my mother and chewed her out for a while, for the first time since my mom has known my great aunt (decades) she legit dropped the f-bomb and vowed to never come over to my parents' place as long as my sister is living there. Its too long to type but--that's bigger deal than it would seem.

My mom was going to talk to my sister about it but my dad said she walked out of the house while my mom was talking to our aunt, came back, left a note that said things "weren't working out" at the house and she is moving to North Carolina (one of her original plans when she moved in).

So fucking glad I do not live there.
