I gave up on the gym a while back. Much easier and cheaper to work out at home.

I have to have an unpleasant talk with the fiancee when she comes to visit on christmas. Its already going to be awkward enough, but she's now horribly depressed because "she" (the cabby who was picking her up) killed her dog, a deaf puppy she just got from her sister a few days ago. she does not handle things like this well, and I'm not really sure how to deal with it.

Just had my first fight with my fiancee. We've been together for two years, and we've managed to get by this long without a fight (lots of healthy communication). But facts are facts...I work too much and I don't see things in a "work vs her" mentality. She does. Things are dealt with...we talked through it for a solid hour and are both content with the result, but still...

that was a fucking terrible, terrible feeling.

Seriously, I think from now on my knee-jerk reaction to anybody that has a fight with their significant other is to immediately offer to buy them a beer.

It is such an awful feeling.

When the fight is over be grateful it happened, when you fight it's because you care, indifference is the relationship killer.

correct! assuming you get through the fight properly. never ending fighting and non-resolution can also be a relationship killer, and often leads to indifference.

The fine art of communication with an s/o is one if the most difficult things to master but the rewards can be priceless.

Two years without a fight? Wow!

The "work vs. her" problem is really thorny though, IME. I've gotten myself in that argument on more than one occasion.

FWIW, 15 years and nothing what I would call a "fight" based on prior relationships. Two or three arguments and that's really it. While we are entirely different people we have always come to the same final decision on anything major in life.
