The other morning walking to the train I saw a cop driving by and I stopped them and vented. They are apparently aware of the issue... Whatever they can do about it is beyond me if they don't catch them red handed. Also, to make things worse they apparently haven't been taking anything. Leaving money and GPS's behind. It really is infuriating. The worst part is how helpless you are as the owner.. I mean, barring installing shatter proof glass or whatnot, you really have no defense against car vandalism. A cop sure as hell isn't going to spend his time watching the streets for such vandalism. It's such a petty crime that just royally fucks the car owner up the butt.

I do. I walked the perimeter of my garage, and there are several easily breach-able entry points. It's a pathetic excuse for security.
Honestly, the reason why I was a victim was because I had my fucking iPod and GPS laying out in plain sight. My fault, yes. But maybe I just need a car with integrated navigation that can also stream music wirelessly via bluetooth (i.e. a new(er) car)
