Thanks for asking. She's in a lot of pain but did some bedside stuff (toe touching, etc.) with therapy. Her feet and lower legs were swelling I guess and my brother told me she's not eating enough. Her spirits seem good but this is a serious thing for someone that's going to be 83 in January. There's a stat that says 50% of the advanced elderly will die within six months of a major bone break so I am fully aware she's actually in quite some danger.

On the lawyer front the ambulance chaser says this is a complete slam dunk..as if that was ever in question.

I ordered a gift for my girlfriend today...and then a few hours later she starts asking me questions about possibly buying an upgraded version of the same gift for her parents.

I personally don't think the difference between the two versions is worth the price difference, but I can't let her buy a fancier version than I bought her! (the fact that she is buying the same thing is weird enough). I place an order for the more expensive version and hit "request cancellation" on the other. Unfortunately I get an email saying "sorry, we were not able to cancel your order" (I have prime so it moves fast).

Now I've paid for the more expensive version (for useless features) and I'm stuck paying some return shipping.

I think I am getting the girlfriend the ipad she wants, but doesn't need.

At least your gf shows restraint. As soon as Mrs. T sees something she wants, she gets it.

One year, I lucked out when she wanted a Tiffany necklace but couldn't work up enough want to get down to the actual store. So I ended up taking care of that.

I don't think restraint comes into it. She just knows I'll buy it for her.

last night at like 4 am i suddenly developed high fever, body ache, and chills and intense shivering and spent all night trying to bury myself in my comforter. was painful. my head still kind of hurts, but on the plus side i woke up and felt better. on the minus side i still felt sick and woozy but had to take a final exam in accounting. on the plus side i think i did pretty well

whenever I had final exams in college, I'd think of this sign and then laugh.
