Laid off from work today..."cash flow issues". Officially peasant status for awhile.

^ that sucks man. Sometimes I hear things are getting better over there, sometimes I hear they are getting worse. Regardless, hang in there.

 

and now what's pissing me off seems extraordinarily insignificant, but I have no fucking clue how to wear houndstooth jackets. None.
 

Drank too much wine and now can't work.

Yeah, I don't hit the wine until AFTER lunch. That way I get a productive 30-45 minutes in every day.

It's after 7 p.m. here...I really needed the wine around lunch time.

So I walked into the office a couple of hours ago to find that somebody broke in this weekend and stole a computer. Now I have to call like a dozen and a half bankruptcy clients and tell them some scumbag has their personal info.

Aw, that sucks.

Sell the positive side: they've no credit so those identity thieves are shit outta luck!

Yeah I'm sure they just wanted the computer and the printer for some quick meth money, but I gotta call anyway just in case.

As an aside, you should look into disk encryption on any of your office machines. Win7 comes with bitlocker (so long as the machine has a TPM module -- all enterprise level new laptops and desktops do), otherwise there's free stuff like truecrypt. Bitlocker is the most pain-free option, though.
