okay this is bad.... some of you might remember, during my time off from work last month one of our staff had some kind of mental breakdown at work- speaking gibberish and was kinda spaced out. she went on a leave and did some tests and all that. well she reported to work monday, and I asked for her medical files just to make sure she's getting proper treatment and all.
Warning: Spoiler! (Click to show)as an aside, I do this because one thing about living in the 3rd world where universal health care is at a bare minimum- you could end up with a fuck up of a doctor that will just give you their equivalence of "take 2 aspirins and call me in the morning" even if you're literally dying right in front of him
this staff of ours has been here even before I started working here and she's like family. so anyway, I showed the mri result to a sibling of mine who happens to be an specialist in that field, and she just told me that it doesn't look good- as in she probably has brain tumor, and its pretty big and spreading. I've personally arranged for her to see a neuro-oncologist first thing in the morning tomorrow, and from what I've been told, she'll probably be admitted immediately for a biopsy.
she doesn't know how possibly severe her condition is. Its more prudent for the doctor to tell her, and I don't wanna scare her by telling her what may or may not have. but today is probably her last day to work here, after more than 2 decades. everyone in the office is bummed out, like how you know a family member is dying. life indeed sucks sometimes. fuck.
