Two seniors at the high school I attended died last night after a 22 year old drunk driver hit their car on a highway. My sister is a sophomore and knew one of the kids pretty well; she's really upset. What a fucking tragedy. The were both athletes with outstanding grades. I don't try to imagine how their parents feel, because it's upsetting.

What a loss for the kids who died and the guy who killed them. Three lives ruined.

that is horrible. i am so sorry to hear that. my condolences to all those who suffered losses.

teenage kid in the front of our friday's trail ride group fell off a ridge almost 15 feet high. kid was being a kid, didn't see the turn until it was too late. when I got there his dad (who was with us) and some guys were tying a splint and we eventually brought them out. lucky for him all he got was a broken wrist, but still that was pretty terrifying.

Thanks guys. I don't know the kids or their families but obviously the connection is felt. I usually spend weekends in my hometown and stuff like this makes your average sprawling suburb feel like a hamlet.

The major metro newspaper's editor lives a few doors down from my parents and she just posted the front page for tomorrow. Her kid is 17 and knew these young folks very well. So sad.

sorry Connie, that is horrible



I had a problem last week that required a remedy of eating more fiber. so I spent the weekend eating a lot of fiber. apperantly, a little too much fibder for the delecate balance that is my digestive system. this morning I pooped out stuff that might very well have been stuck to the walls of my guts since Regan was president. this wasn't really the effect I was looking for. I now feel weak.
