no other associates today...went from doing my own stuff to picking up another persons tasks for 2 days then two more peoples today...couple that with weekly reporting and managers that dont want to do anything to help and you have a busy day. I was there for 2 extra hours sending out weekly reports. And the what bothered me more then anything was that I was expected to do everything and at the same capacity of 4 people...while i hear the managers joking around all day.

my boss has been a complete tool the last few weeks also.

We have a group office communicator chat and she suggests something for one of our sign offs. I say I dont have a problem with it but I am going to play devils advocate and remind you why we dont sign off a certain way because the VP doesnt want one person signing off for everyone...then I get "this is not up for debate" where the fuck was I debating any of this? I said i could care less but the vp might....facepalm.jpeg

Why is it that if i call my father on his birthday he cannot be reached either on his cell or home phone, and that if i call The day after i'm accused of not calling at all. You could be like me. When I got my driver's license my mother told me to pick up her dry cleaning often. Each time I took about 6 hours to do this. After a while she didn't ask me to do anything anymore.

the world hasn't run out of ways to be douchebags to bikers. I only ride for exercise and have mainly found alternative methods because I've grown to fear for my life. of course, as I type this I am reminded of the assclown yesterday who was riding on the sidewalk, opposite the flow of traffic, with a perfectly wide, well marked bike lane 6 feet away. almost collided with a lady in a motorized wheelchair

I've come to the conclusion that my coworker is pretty much just a child, albeit one in his late 30s. At the close of our shifts we are supposed to call each other during this trade-off period, typically this call is only truly important when the following day veers from the usual...such as having to get to the job earlier than we typically call, etc... Last night he attempted to call me at 19:20 & 19:25; I was at dinner, and my phone was on silent...I noticed he called when I was in the bathroom and left him a text message, informing that I noticed his two calls, and I would call after dinner (this was 19:45). I attempted to call him at 22:00, which is when our shifts switch...no answer, so I leave him a text message stating that if anything would be different than typical, to give me a call, regardless of the time.

Well, he decided to call the owner of the company we work for, and tell them that he tried to contact me for hours and how he thought I was drunk. WTF? I was at dinner, I informed him I would call him back, and I did call him back...regardless there wasn't anything out of the ordinary about today. Typically I don't even receive calls from him, and as was the case two weeks ago, his lack of calling me to notify me that I had to get to a job at 6:45 cost a client $$$$$$.

Dude is really pissing me off, and I haven't had problems with him in the past much. But lately, yes...and he is always complaining about the workers at the different sites. His background is in construction - I would guess that he would be able to get along better with everyone at the sites than a college kid like myself.

ugh.

Shopping for furniture is hard. I don't know exactly what I'm looking for, but I know that everything I see is not it. (I know I want something very contemporary looking at least.) Also, I'm very worried that I"m going to spend a lot of money on furniture and within a day Genevieve will ruin it by clawing it up or pooping on it.

le sigh. this makes me has a sad.

my daughters hamster died a few hours ago. she is ok, but pretty sad. was crying earlier. sucks.

And there is some very nice metal furniture out there (I'm being serious...I have a metal chair that looks like it'd be uncomfortable as hell but somehow it isn't)

The same guy makes a couch, but it was out of my price range. Cat proof furniture does exist (Genevieve hasn't learned how to weld yet, right?)

Is that metal furniture actually comfortable, or is it just less uncomfortable that you'd think? I have to say, it doesn't look very comfortable!
