holy ******* **** am i pissed off right now, my hands are shaking. i just received a call from a co-worker with the following message from my bosses. i have a schedule change for you and i need you to work on sundays now.

i told him very flatly in as calm a voice as i was able to manage that i can not and will not do that. he said what do you mean? and i said thats exactly what i mean, i will not come in to work. and he says well what message would you like me to pass along then. and i said you can tell them i already work 11 hours a day as it is, i have a family who never sees me and its just not fair to them for you to expect me to do that. and i wont do it. period. then he said ok ill tell them and he hung up.

i know this battle is far from over and i am ******* furious. bunch of ******* asshole rat bastard douche bags. i want to strangle them. is that acceptable? /crazy person rant

stitch, strangling your bosses is only permissible when you have new bosses lined up to take the old bosses' place.

You're missing the thing that would have pissed me off the most: he had someone else give you the directive.

They're taking the piss or they try to push him out...

Maybe it's a mix of the two above.

that did piss me off. in a HUGE way. i didnt call much attention to it only because they pass the ball off whenever they do something like that because they are manipulative pussies. ive almost gotten used to it. not that you can really get used to it but i have come to expect it. sad i know.

T-Schnizzle,

Not to beat a dead horse and I'm sure you want to move on so I'll just say this... humans have the tendency to think once things start going bad that they will always be bad and vice-versa. It is one of our worst irrationalities. So basically, things will improve homeboy

I want to preface this by saying I'm not suggesting you take any actions based on my ramblings.

This is not completely about ethical egoism. The long term relationships we have impact the lives of many more people than just the two folks into it. Kids, close family, close friends. Have you ever noticed how when a couple is known for being unhappy with each other people pull away a bit? Don't want to spend time alone with them? That somehow other unhappy folks gravitate to one spouse or another and just feed the whole clusterfuck? Do you think kids don't pick up on the fact mom and dad are in turmoil? Do you think you can give your employers your all when your home life is in constant turmoil?

Now, it is about YOU to a certain extent. Why do YOU deserve to live a life that's in constant turmoil? Why do you not deserve to be trusted by your partner, not get constant grief over petty ****, not deserve some peace and tranquility in your own home? IMO, people do have an ethical obligation to themselves too. It is not the only consideration but it certainly is part of the constantly changing and complex factors in any ethical situation.

As long as you find the fight worth fighting...fight it. I am just saying I was in a relationship and I found a point came where the battle was futile. I decided there was no winning it and decided one day that I would not fight anymore.

I wish you the best, T-bone, and am not saying to give up the fight. I'm just saying that a guy deserves a certain amount of peace in his life and to realize not all battles are winnable. As long as you think victory is possible keep up the good fight.

+100000000 piob knows his **** and got it pretty much figured out. and he sounds so sexayy.

@Eason - I have enough ******* heat and humidity in Texas. If I'm going to ditch and run, it will be to somewhere with seasons and rainfall. I know that leaves out Mexico but If I'm going to the trouble to start over, I'd like to at least live past Day 1. Hmmm, how does Canada treat undocumented refugees?

you can hide here, T. I could arrange some long term arrangement for you in some beach and the only thing you have to worry about is who's getting the ganja and beer.
