I've been trying to upload a 70 meg file for the last hour. No status bar, just the little spinny "uploading" circle.

Noone else in my family knows (to my knowledge)....it is way more than just drinking, my parents are oblivious as my mom is very orthodox christian and doesn't know what getting drunk is like....

You can help by trying to be as rational and emotionally detached as possible if you want to preserve yourself...

It is extremely difficult to help a loved one without losing yourself..

He must be the one who initiate his recovery because without personal involvement any therapy will be useless..

Helping people on drugs is a very difficult exercise because we do not really understand the mechanisms of hard drugs addiction...

I wish you all the best and do not forget to protect yourself emotionally and even sadly enough financially..

Thanks, although the evening wasn't that relaxing because I was still rattled from earlier events. Today will be better, much better because I'm off from work and will be honored at a dinner held especially for me. icon_gu_b_slayer[1].gif

Yeah. There has been a real stink in the air. It's a huge shame because the beginning of Fall is my favorite time of year.

I met one of my kid's classmate's dad today. He is a physician who runs a clinic in an underprivileged area of town and is also a professor of history.

I feel like a selfish half-wit right about now.

Do what my father taught me to do to feel better in those situations. Just say, "Well, fuck him!"

Confront him with your concerns. If you're spot on and you feel it's necessary to feel free to alert him that you will tell your parents if he doesn't knock it off. You have to look out for his well being nothing more.

I hate when I have an email open in outlook at work and then I check my personal email on my phone and close it only to still see the notification that I have a new email in outlook and I have to close it out. Annoying.

Or I get a work email just as I load my personal emails and I get the work notification. Annoying.

Clients who bring political opinions into the discussion, and somehow expect you to be of the same. How many times do I have to hear "hope we get the right guy in the white house !" for every election cycle? ffffuuuu.gif
