been fucking stuck in this cafe for the past 2 hours because its teeming rain.

I came into my office at around 1 today, and I didn't wear a coat even though it is October. Now it is later in the day and I am cold. That was foolhardy.

That reminds me: when I was in Belgium a few weeks ago, it was pretty chilly, but I refused to wear my jacket. That's because I decided I didn't look very good in it. I chose to be cold rather than look bad. But I don't have that excuse today.

Perhaps this will come off as too blunt or insensitive, but I feel that it must be said: the Rangers deserved to get bounced from the playoffs for aesthetic reasons alone. Teams with blue and red as their colors very often have trouble deciding which color is primary and which is secondary, and so they end up just wavering. The Rangers do that in a ridiculous way, sometimes wearing red hats and socks, sometimes blue. The uniform itself clearly calls for blue hats and socks, not red. Nonetheless, they often wear red. (And don't even get me started on their having "Texas" in massive, ugly letters on both their home and road unis. Who the hell has their city or state name on their home unis? (Yankees don't count, as they are grandfathered in by tradition.)

I'm glad I got that off my chest, though I'm still fuming a little bit.

i imagine, if you actually did write such a letter, some intern got a hearty laugh. at the very least. someone owes you a thank you for that.

I am only one man, and I can only speak for myself, but I don't think this is a laughing matter. No, not a bit. Baseball is a great and noble game, but the Rangers organization is subjecting it to blemishment by wavering over primary and secondary colors. (I had to invent a word to express my feelings adequately.)

That said, the Orioles look awesome this year. (Don't like the black softball jerseys, but everything else is top notch.) The A's also look great, now that they've brought back and modernized the yellow alternates. The Cardinals always look great, although their logo has been creeping further and further down the jersey over the last 15 years. I don't get that at all.

Not me, but many friends from Georgia are about the infield fly rule right now.
