I ate at a longhorn once (which I assume is just outback with a different corporate overlord) and I thought it was way better than my outback experience.

The fried onion petals weren't as good but the meat was far better. Although maybe it was just because I was famished and far from home

Today I was taken out to lunch at a locally owned and locally renowned steak house. The salad was spectacular.

My mother loves the Longhorn Steakhouse, so we go there at least once every time I visit. I find it to be pretty similar to Outback and the like in quality.

I have a general rule, which actually turns out to be quite unhelpful in practice: if I find a person attractive, I assume the person is out of my league. If I find a person unattractive, then I don't want to pursue them anyway. That leaves the number of potential romantic partners available to me at zero. (Unless the other person makes the first move in a way that I cannot fail to miss.)

yeah, I go to one of the best steak places in america maybe 20 times a year, but I only allow myself the steak there once a year, so mostly I have crab cakes, or some other fish based app. otherwise I'd be dead.
