HALP! HALP!! I'm being repressed!! Jon's trying to make me grow up and be all responsible and get over things!!!

This might be welcome news for some. BUT NOT FOR ME!

Our cable is out at work, possibly till thursday. So all I have to post is my phone. So I called verizon because my phone can serve as wifi hot spot to set that up @$20 per some amount of data. Only to then find out my stupid work computer isnt wireless capable. So back to the phone. This will make cruising and poasting very difficult

******* US cell phone companies charging more money so I can tether MY phone to MY laptop and use MY data plan which I already pay for. I'm not paying. If that means that I can't connect to the internet on my MacBook while at the park, then so be it.

The new girl who works the till at my favorite cafe talks to people as if she's not sure they're actually there. It's like she's talking to herself but is just loud enough in case I really am standing in front of her, trying to order a cappuccino to go.

I had to go to the DMV twice and get 2 licenses made, just to get my motorcycle endorsement. They were unable to process both a new license (I needed to swap my out of state one for an instate one) and an M endorsement on said license (I had a certificate entitling me to it from taking a safety class, just show it to them and they add the 'M' without any tests or questions).
I had to sit in line, take the written drivers test, wait in line some more, get my picture taken and a new ID printed and *then* they wanted me to get back in the beginning queue and repeat the process all over (with the exception of the written test).

I was already at 1.5 hours on a 1 hour lunch break...so I had to go back and wait in line again this morning instead.

I hate this BS...it was mildly understandable when everybody sold unlimited plans (but not really...since they weren't really unlimited and shouldn't be sold as such) but I am on a 2GB data plan...I pay more if I go over...as such, why should I not be able to use that data in any way shape or form?

I know that there are suckers that will pay (or business users whose pocket it is not coming out of)...but if people really knew that they were paying for the exact same thing they could get in other countries for no charge (or here in the past with a hacked phone), I think they would be a little more angry.

Jeebus, construction and wedding are farking expensive.

At least 8 times in the past two weeks, I've gotten some kind of phone call or other surprise where the gist of the conversation is "Just a little something we forgot/have to add/have to deal with, it's no big deal, we can take care of it, no no no it's not really expensive, probably just a few hundred, maybe a thousand, maybe $1500 at most."

I can only absorb so many of these, you know.
