My grandma is dying of cancer as you guys know. Found out this weekend that my great aunt, who has been a selfless caretaker for my grandmother over the past couple of months, has a lump on one of her breasts. Had a biopsy today and the results aren't back...but the doctors told her it's very likely to be malignant. Sigh. Fuck cancer

knee is being fucktarded. Don't want to go back to doctor. I really don't want surgery, but the last time my knee hurt this bad my doctor told me surgery was probably my only option and I just left it alone.

work sucked, had the slow trainee working, he's slow. lots of fuckups. I like the guy, a lot, but he's making it really hard to defend him to the boss and my replacement who both seem to be calling for his ass on a platter.

Finally, I got four phone calls from a customer's wife (all after he left to go get skunked with some of my less reputable regulars) today, and one from his daughter asking "When will my daddy be home? can you ask him to come home". I made a point of finding him and telling him his family had been blowing up the shop phone (we're friends) he just told me "Tell her I'm playing poker, I'll be back like three or something". Their family only has one car and she needed to go get the kids something to eat. I hate being put in that position.

God the depression is like an elephant of misery and self-hatred sitting on my head right now. I wish I was drinking so I could post about how awful I am and how much I hate myself in the drunk posting thread.

So sorry to hear that. It's hard to say things that don't sound like platitudes, but really, you're a great guy. I don't know all the details of what's going on, but I hope everything turns around for you soon.
