Well anytime you have to learn a new alphabet its exponentially more difficult. Prononciation is absurdly hard for a non-native Central/Eastern European speaker, The grammatical structures while similar enough to the Romance languages are different enough to make it more confusing. Just so much going on with the language. Also, judging from writers writing about Polish writing, they say the language (perhaps at least artistically) follows few Western European norms or styles so I've got that to look forward to.
No way will I learn Irish Gaelic. Maybe Slovak because I may be able to fudge it with a Polish base.
