Just faxed in my lease renewal on my apartment.

Don't really want to stay but they said I had to have it in by monday or tuesday (but I will be traveling) and I have been unable to find anything I like. Now if I do some day find something, I will have to pay to break my lease or find someone to take it over...but the way the rental market is looking here, I probably won't find anything I like better.

Apparently same in New York, even if you want to pay good money for a rental finding one is difficult right now.

That's the sitch in San Francisco as well. Rentals are scarce, and we're starting to see crazy bidding wars in the buying market. I'm so glad we bought last year!

Yeah, I bought a year and a half ago. When I got the place appraised at closing, which was months after my offer it was already valued significantly higher. Score.

As I was leaving the gated parking area at my condo building, another person was coming in. I kindly yielded, reversing into a nearby parking spot to let him through. The guy didn't even wave, or give me any similar signal. If this happens again, I will not put my car in reverse. Instead, I will keep it in drive and press my foot down on the accelerator. That will teach him a lesson about courtesy.

We haven't reappraised, but the market in our neighborhood is ridiculously hot right now - like cash offers for 75% over asking price hot. I think it's a safe bet that we've had some appreciation in the last year - there'd be more if our new bathroom were more than framed in walls and stubbed out plumbing.

as tempting your invitation is, azns can't adopt whiteys- whiteys can adopt the azns but you can't do things the other way around, that's just the way it is.

lawrence is right, I've had what you're going through a couple of times in the past... you need to spoon a piece of your shit and bring it to the doctor. get well, brah.

does a medical practitioner check it, or you just walk up to any fine gentleman during the pride parade and ask them to do the honor?

You could probably make a totally hilarious and not racially insensitive at all Hollywood movie about an adolescent white kid being adopted by an Asian family...with such heartbreaking moments as The Report Day:

"Hey dad, look, I got a B+!"
"I have no son"

Or the sister who works at a massage saloon offering to help Whitey relieve some stress...

"Do you know what a happy ending is?"
"Oooooooooohhhhhh"
