Sorry to hear this Acid but it sounds like she will not linger and passing at home is so much better than in a hospital. I think folks are doing the right thing in taking her home.

So sorry to hear that acidboy. Last year, my paternal grandmother passed away under similar circumstances -- she suffered a massive stroke, and due to her advanced age (she was 95) and severity of the stroke, doctors advised that any medical steps would do little more than keep her heart beating. We still miss her terribly, but feel so blessed that we were able to enjoy her company for so long.

The best thing you can do right now is provide emotional support to your mother.

thanks guys. we're pretty fine with it actually. we're still at a stage where we can't plan anything and whoever can meet up in los angeles will just go. I just hope she doesn't suffer so much, and wish I could give her a last hug and kiss. she was a fine fine lady.

As someone who was found guilty of DUI you need to post this in the things that are making you happy thread. Trust me. More than a year and a half after my arrest I was still dealing with restrictions from it (still am technically as I think I'm on probation for like another month or so).

+1.

Glad to hear you are OK acid.

On a much lighter note, my vacation is now over. All it made me realize was how much I can't wait to be retired.

And how that is literally, several decades away.

Look on the bright side: no SF lawyer is ever going to seat you on a jury.

If you're going to try to avoid jury duty at least take one for the defense team and force the prosecution to eat up one of their peremptory challenges. Say stuff like how you don't trust cops and would find it difficult to convict a defendant based on the testimony of a police officer. Don't lie, because that would be wrong, but try to make yourself as defense friendly as possible and the DA will certainly bounce you.

Thank you.
