save your time, it won't do anything. At least in my experience.

no insurance?

People acting like they've been personally wronged by merchants who charge more for a product than they think it's worth. On Basenotes (fragrance website), this is a constant theme. I agree that a lot of niche fragrances are priced absurdly high. But I manage to deal with that hard fact of life by simply not buying full bottles. That is how the market works.

Relatedly, people who get mad when they buy something which later goes on sale. They think the sale price represents the true value, which means the merchant must have cheated them in selling it at full price. (I guess maybe there's a Jos. A. Bank exception here.) But in general, if you wanted it enough to pay full price, then you got what you wanted.

You think so? Our names are both French, but my avatar is the great Dave Davies, with a miniature Dave Davies on his shoulder. I can't quite make out what lesamourai's is, but I don't think it's Dave Davies, or even Ray Davies. (Or any of the Kinks for that matter.)
If lesamourai starts reporting conversations with his cat or starts throwing "irregardless" gratuitously into his sentences, then you should start getting suspicous.

But of course that's exactly what I would say, isn't it?

I went to play poker tonight and was involved in a crazy hand. I had J-10 suited and hit a straight flush on the turn. Turns out another dude had the lower straight flush with 5-6 suited. The elusive bad beat jackpot hand. Except this is the poker room in the area without a bad beat jackpot. If the exact same hand had taken place in the other poker room I play at, I believe I would've won about $40,000.

Of course, the other guy has even more reason to be pissed off since he lost the hand.

My coworker has SNL on, which is bad enough, but the musical act tonight might have been the worst of the worst of the worst. Some nauseating dorks named Sleigh Bells. It was utterly cringe worthy to the point of being shrinkage-inducing. It was just god awful and incredibly forced. Who the hell falls for this dunk? Somebody strike the gong, pull this bitch off the stage with an oversized cane, and beat her to death with it. Thanks.

Whew, that was a close call. What a weekend: first I don't get my package delivered on Friday like I was supposed to, and then an SF superstar hints that I've got a sock account. The more I think about it, etc. etc.

I have to spend Sunday afternoon and probably evening entertaining an out of town guest from work. Work masquerading as a weekend. Fun.

Or like the minor league home run king. (I hope the reference makes sense for people who aren't especially familiar with U.S. baseball. Because it's a very high-quality reference I just made.)
