Uncomfortable banquet chairs and tables too tightly packed with said uncomfortable chairs.

about. Like this person who knows that we've changed pricing on half our line-up, but still feels compelled to email everyone on the executive team asking if a specific price change was a typo. *sigh*. Since it's my project (twice yearly) I get the heat and have to produce the documentation. bitches.

But, on the upside I just finished our state tax return and came in under my estimate, and didn't try any shaky sleight-of-hand, either.

More so, it was capable of creating more than one type of content. This spambot wasn't some self congratulating circle jerk.

And, yes, Thomas - same Indian place I suggested we have our next lunch at.

That comment was not aimed solely at you, grow a ******* pair. I'm not at all surprised you can't see the difference between what Douglas said and what I said. I do appreciate you calling me out for the same type of comment that FLMM made. Take your mediocre taste in furniture, unfunny comments, and your less than insightful CE contributions the **** outta SF.

-I'm ******* done with you. I attempted to ignore you, that didn't work. You can have DT, I don't want it. When you post your inane *********** rest of the forum I'm going to call your worthless ass out on it.

1. if thats not called ******** on someone, at least in joking form i dont know what to say really

2. i never said that your comment was aimed solely at me

3. i dont need to grow a pair the ones i have are working just fine. i didnt take any great offense at what you said. i was just trying to josh along with you in yet another wasted attempt to get along with you.

4. i was joshing with my e bro FLMM and you seemed to have butted in on me in a way not too dissimilar from the way FLMM "butted" in on douglas and thomas joshing

5. clearly you arent ignoring me as you seemed to have noticed the only post i ever made about furniture, and picked up on the dozen or so i have made in CE.

6. i really dont think my posts are that unfunny, or lack insight. they cant all be winners, but on the whole i stand by them. and i have no plans on leaving any part of sf, so deal.

7. at least i have the balls to leave my posts up even if they are less than great.

8. i doubt you are done with me you enjoy it too much, but feel free to make these kinds of posts whenever you like. they used to make me cry and pee my pants, but im cool with it now. i have enough confidence in my posting not to worry.

9. you may be a ninja, but my jiu-jitsu is far superior to your kung-fu

But she was older and years out of the workplace and needed a hand with minor administrative/office application ****.

Anyway, it sounds like she needs a sit down with her boss to discuss how to adjust and training.

To be honest, I do feel bad for her. That said, it's getting to the point where I'm out of patience. I didn't note it in my first post, but I should have: I have a pretty strong frame of reference for her performance. I started my job almost exactly a year before her, and I didn't have any experience when I started (I was fresh out of grad school). She didn't have any experience in this particular field, but she does have some in others that would ostensibly translate well.

The issue is that she just isn't getting it. The project she called about today is very, very similar to one I worked on in my first couple of months on the job. When I did mine I created a format that has been adapted to other applications in our division. She, on the other hand, was confused almost to the point of paralysis.

She has also received considerably more training than me, both in the office and at continuing education opportunities. I also went out of my way to help her out when she started, partially because I felt like there were times during my early months that I wasn't helped or trained very well. She hasn't been left to sink or swim on her own to nearly the degree I was, and this, to me, makes her shortcomings worse.

I think the issue for me is that she hasn't shown much improvement. My experience has been similar to what you describe, Jodum - I've become much more capable as time has passed. Indeed, the fact that I've shown this growth was noted as a positive on my last review. My growth has also meant that I've needed less help from others, even as my assignments become more complicated. She just hasn't shown this type of development. She still doesn't grasp very fundamental things about our job, and every assignment seems like it's the first she's been given.

On to other news: I have a big purple blotch on my toe now. FACK. Damn corners.!

I agree completely. This the busiest time of year in my office, so there aren't going to be any major personnel changes if they can be avoided. I'll be curious to see what happens when things ease up in a few months.

How's the toe?
