okay this is still pissing me off... sunday I brought my kids to this new place for lunch.. its a pretty nice place, in the uppity side of town, has a wood fired oven.... anyway since it was pretty new I expected service to be less than stellar, but the food came out 40 minutes after we ordered, and between that time I had to talk to the manager twice, and they only brought it out when I sternly said to let me know how many minutes before they're gonna bring the food out to my already hungry kids. and we just ordered a pasta dish and pizza! cooked in a brick oven!

actually, what pissed me off more was after getting the check I noticed two tables away from me, this fucking d-list local celeb-slash-attention whore-slash-"fashionista" whose family happens to own a major local newspaper, and her companion is finishing up their meal... considering that we ate like a raging tornado when the food came and that fucking bitch came in a good ten minutes after the server took our order after carousing and acting like a damn peacock going in and out of the place so everyone notices her, I can safely say that the restaurant decided its better business for them to serve the d-lister first instead of a guy with his hungry kids. stupid. mother. fucking. assholes.

Last time I was in a situation like that (keep in mind IRL I'm a vindictive fuck who enjoys punishing people for any perceived slight) I just stood behind his car so he couldn't pull out until the cops got there.

When I park in a parking lot, I never even take the closest non-handicapped spot. There are plenty of people who are not actually handicapped but who have a tough time getting around who need the space more than I do.

For various reasons, my job over the last ~2.5 years has been considerably less stressful and time consuming than my wife's. In light of this, I've taken over ever escalating shares of the household tasks. Now I have a new job and the old arrangement is not tenable. The transition is proving...draining. She totally recognizes and accepts the need for it, but doesn't seem to be able to actually make any changes. Just....argh.

Keep typing out more but it's best that I don't post it lol

Everybody in B&S describing their lame diffusion-line poly-blend blazer or whatever as a "grail piece." If it's such a grail piece then DON'T F***ING SELL IT

My brother-in-law's wedding is this weekend. Despite asking him what suits we need for months he didn't give anyone a definitive answer until a week ago, a $200 polyester suit from Men's Wearhouse. I went to get measured and gave b-i-l my size as he wants to order the suits for a group discount. As far as anyone can guess he still hasn't ordered them and I fly out (destination wedding) on Thursday.

I'm starting to get pissed off and when I call him out on it to my family everyone acts like it isn't my place to say anything.

At this point I'm saying that if I don't have the suit by tomorrow (Wednesday) he can just return it for his $ back and if he doesn't want me to be in his wedding then I won't.

Also, there a 8 bridesmaids and 6 groomsmen and this is turning into quite the douchey affair.

That's bullshit. I hate people who micromanage weddings. Especially when there is an entourage involved and all.

When the mother in-law gets involved , it is always descending into madness..

People are losing sight of the real meaning of marriage....

It's a celebration of your love not a Keeping up with the Jones competition.

Apparently the bride made comments to my wife that the reason for the super large wedding party is so people who probably wouldn't make the trek will feel obligated to go to her wedding (we're in ATL and wedding is in Michigan on the great lakes).

The whole situation is just making me mad.

Sup x-chen.

So for this week, work wants me to come in super fucking late, like 8:00 AM. But I can't handle that so instead I got in just super late, at 7:30 AM. Much better but still, wtf. don't be fucking up my shit, man.

oh, I dislike that reasoning. As for the suit business, I'd guess that the groom is reluctant to make this wedding happen and is probably at least a bit embarrassed about the whole destination deal. At least, I'd like to think this.

..

So, this morning I wake up to find a packet of papers on the kitchen island and a note to sign them. I spin through the pages and sign where prompted. The Mrs. calls me upset that I didn't wake her to go over the papers and I missed a signature. Wait, what? She didn't even start the packet until I went to bed, and it's supposed to be ready by 10 a.m. And I'm supposed to feel bad for her that she stayed up until 2, when she was on facebook and what-have-you for hours that day, and she knew this meeting was coming for weeks, but still waited for the last few seconds to get it all done. Oh, and let's remember that I have two kids to get ready for school, while she slumbers. Bitch, PLZ.
