Being sick on your holidays. Stupid head and chest cold. And it's brought on by flying (again). So flying is now pissing me off too.

I got that holiday sickness too. First time I've been sick in 2 years and I was sick for 2.5 weeks until this past Sunday. Was the worst, lots of nose blowing and lots of phlegm.

My pet peeve of the moment is wires. I just purchased a large battery backup system for my home/business computer. Over the last 3 years I've largely ignored the wires because quite frankly they are behind my desk and I never go back there. Well today I crawled under the desk to hook up the APC and noticed around 15 wires and power supplies of various colors and sizes in a tangled mess on the floor, resembling a disfunctional spider web. I tried years ago to tame the mess with cord strips but they don't really work.

I hate how every device has to have a cable and I hate how large they have to be. I really wish if there has to be cables they would just be routed to my computer with a single cable instead of a USB + a power cable. Then my computer could be the sole distribution block which would plug into the APC with a single cord. Now that the APC is hooked up I plan on ignoring the mess for another 3 years.

Sorry, I probably read more into the situation than may have occured. In my experience, when someone in customer service says "hold on a sec bro," it isn't followed up by "I was already helping someone else." It is followed up by the answer of a cellphone.

Tacky language? I can let that slide 99% of the time. Okay 75%.

I see a lot of this in the Army now: First-year Privates saying 'yo' and 'sup' to Commissioned Officers. NO RESPECT whatsoever. Often its young kids but I see this crap out of grown men as well! So the Army is going to **** right along with the rest of society.

I was wearing my driving mocs this morning while having coffee and checking email. As I turned to leave the computer, the textured tread caught the wire to my phone, I tripped and tore the wire out of the socket leaving the clip tip in place. Boy did that start pissing me off good and early today.......

I'd call for a timeout if I were you. What is wrong with people, if she were sick, I'd be at home watching Dick Clark on TV in bed.

Well she's had this planned for a while and i've only been sick since last night but it got worse today. I haven't talked to her today but we went over last night how I trust her and all that **** and she won't do anything stupid tonight. I realize she's involved in her activities and friends and **** but new years eve you don't want to spend with your boyfriend and/or are obligated to go to some stupid party because your waterpolo friends and alcohol will be there. Ugh I shouldn't be mad but I also haven't seen her since xmas eve...

Let's hope so. I remember my ex gf's roommate was on the college cheerleading team. Apparently taking pictures of her dry humping football players in her underwear isn't cheating ;(

Yeah well I know she wouldn't do anything but what I told her is that I trust her 100% I just don't trust guys, at all. Especially when there's alcohol involved. High school guys don't second guess whether this drunk chick has a boyfriend waiting for her or not... Hopefully her friends will have their heads on straight enough that one of them might stay sober and/or watch over her. It also really concerns me that she's diabetic and god knows she's going to be the only one that cares to make sure she tests..
