I was chuckling at the typical middle aged poser on a Harley the other day. I joked with Mrs. Piob about getting a Harley so I could pose too. She said I'd need to grow a full beard and go sleeveless to flash my deltoid tat.

Relationships where one person is in school and the other isn't are hard.

Incredibly. Not even just the different schedules, but the whole thing about being in different stages of life makes it very difficult. Good luck dude.

Ugh it's been one week and it's driving me crazy. Things will work out better once we align our schedules (as much as possible) but I can't see the next couple years being easy. It just sucks because I have way more free time than her now. When we were both in school we could at least study together but that's not going to happen anymore.

Try one Ph.D student (ZERO free time), the other a tenure track professor, with a toddler. It's actually miraculous our marriage works relatively well, but damn, there are some tough days. Just be thankful you can at least go out for the evening anything you want, and you're not sick every other week from diseases brought home from day care.

not noticing any problems on that front here, I work long days, she does two bachelor programs. Perhaps this is because I mentally never left uni...

whats pissing me off is that everything takes sooooo much time when there are other people involved, is it a trend these days to make everything take 3 times as much time then it really needs?

You fighting for racial equality is something that all should appreciate.

Even though I've probably done it at least 1000 times now, going out and getting like 2.5 hours of sleep before work is not a good idea. Now it isn't the lack of sleep that pisses me off, I wake up really easily. It is that I woke up this morning and said "I'm getting too old to keep doing this".

Couple of weeks ago I applied for a job in my current department, that I have basically been doing for the the last two months. Found out today that they gave the job to somebody else without even giving me an interview.

Guy in our department just doesn't take me for full. He's responsible for support and I'm product manager. Unfortunately he's 6 months longer with the company (and actually a year older than me) and we both started in support, so somehow doesn't realize that at this point I'm actually in a position to delegate work to him. So I asked him for stuff multiple times and he either tells me he's too busy or just forgets it/assigns it low priority. I'm starting to get pissed about this and if it doesn't change soon I'll escalate it. I've argued with 2 of my friends without reason. Once it was my fault (didn't trust her) and the other one was just being a bitch. I was actually asking her stuff as I decided to spontaneously buy her a present (so I tried to find out if she prefers dragonfly, butterfly or flower patterns) and then there was some kind of connection problem with me not receiving her messages and she not receiving mine. So after 20 minutes it works again and she's all upset and mad at me why I didn't talk with her for 20 minutes. She doesn't believe me it was an IT problem and goes all bitchy with the result that we just rage quit the conversation. I hope this situation clears soon as I was going to visit her and there's only 2 days left to cancel the hotel without fee. So I'm telling my bff about all this and what does she do? Friggin ask me if I'm still in love with her (we broke up 2 years ago) and want to come back to her. She asked me that around 20 times already and I said no every time. So I tell her "ffs no!" again and all she does is tell me that she feels I'm lying or unsure. Conversation rage quit 2 for today. Oh and I forgot, the SF part: brought a sport coat to the tailer today to shorten the sleeves. And he gave his best to try to convince me that the sleeves should go to the base of the thumb and the sport coat I was wearing, showing appr. 1cm of shirt cuff, was way too short. The whole discussion we had about pant length some months ago started again but about sleeves until he gave in, willing to shorten my sleeves.
