So many people around me are in **** moods lately. Whether it is dating, career, irrational worries, whatever. It is hard to not let it affect you. I am finding it very irritating. People need to really lighten up.

So the cherry trees are blooming like crazy, the redbuds are pushing buds and its hard to make the argument that flowering trees aren't the pretties ******* ***** in the world.

However, there are only two such trees on my drive to and from work (95% of my driving) so I don't see any cherries. At least I get plenty of dogwoods, wisteria, apples etc. But man, its all so fleeting. Last year I was gone for a week-and-a-half in April and literally missed all the wisteria except the trail end of one. Anyway, for whatever reason I've been thinking a lot about death the past few weeks and I don't know why but thinking about the trees really crystallized my thoughts. I know it isn't anything knew or profound here but a couple days ago it really sunk in for me that every moment we live we're never getting back and it's one second less to live.

This reminds me of one of the stupidest interview questions I have ever had asked. It was my fourth interview and was with the president of one of the nation's biggest hospice organizations. I was interviewing for an RVP job and did not really want it as I was trying to get away from business travel. It would have been a good move at the time though as RVP would have been my highest spot on the org chart yet. She started off the interview with this question: So what did you do yesterday that changed someone's life?

I knew right then and there that a) I did not want this job and b) she would not offer me this job.

You should have feigned shock and said something along the lines of, "I thought there were no witnesses! How did you find out about that!?"

Why is how to form a line at a coffee shop so difficult? If they have lanes roped out to keep people moving through without blocking the door, then use them. And after you've paid, get out of the way so the person behind you can get their coffee.

Fiancée got a flat tire this morning on the way to work. She has AAA and calls them but they say they can't be there for a while and she has a patient to see so I drive out to help. I get there, get the car up on the jack and AAA arrives. :fu:

Even worse is when they're side by side with someone driving the limit in the right hand lane, completely killing the flow of traffic while being totally oblivious. Infuriating!
+1. It's as though they're trying to be a traffic cop by controlling the speed. This behavior tries my patience.

Good for you, it's currently 18 degrees here with a high of 25 expected for today. Enjoy your blooms. :)

I said something along the lines of, "I'm not nearly arrogant enough to think I change the lives of people on a daily basis. I think if you really change a person's life two or three times in your life you are doing awesome." She was quite taken back, had no response, and just changed the subject. Pretentious *****. Probably had motivational posters on the ceiling over her bed.

******* girlfriend wants to go a on a "weekend getaway" as if that isn't torturous enough her idea of the weekend is 5 days. Now, I am going to have to look forward to throwing money out the window and five days in the country with nothing to do.

What? The Netwebs will not work there and you're headed somewhere alcohol is illegal?

I sit on ****** all day every day at work on the computer and drink alcohol every night with her, why should I have to take a train 2 hours and spend $400 a night to do the same thing around less people, with less possibilities of things to do? Makes no ******* sense. I know she wants it so I am going to shut her up and bite my tongue.

Plan some nice meals out. Get a place with a wood burning fireplace in the room. Have lots of the sexxy time. Bring some e-books.
