I have a similar transportation device for deviled eggs. It's awesome.
I am exceedingly ambivalent about deviled eggs.
The best deviled egg I've ever had still wasn't as good as the worst omelet I've ever had.

yes, same idea...
I have a philosophical objection to cupcakes. Magnolia is also super lame.
It's not taste, per se, it's usually texture. I had a really good version of one a couple weeks ago. Spicy seasoned shrimp one...it's always the texture of the egg white that gets me.
My office is near the Magnolias in Midtown, and that place is a shitshow, all day, every day. And the cupcakes are not even very good--stale and hard, which is surprising given the volume that place must do. Bleh.
My objection to cupcakes is that cake is supposed to be a communal thing. The ritual of cutting the cake, lining up to get a piece etc is all very social. Cupcakes take the social aspect out of cake and turn it into a personal, antisocial ordeal.
That being said, I prefer pie to cake.
Cupcakes, for some reason, now make me think of that program where the ********* that wants to **** Obama is the star and it's about girls in NYC.
