Do you walk them? Some people I know walk their cats

We considered harness training them when they were kittens. I think our honey badger of a female would take to it but we never bothered.

Can toilet train cats. No litter.

Cats can't distinguish phonemes. Your cats don't know their names they know a tone of voice.

That's what I thought so I've done testing using same tone but different words. They seem to know their names.

I have about ten nicknames for my cat, so she answers to none of them. Or sometimes all of them, depending on her mood.

Oh, another interesting thing is they don't respond to each other's names, as in their responses are only to their names and not the others no matter the tone.

Where do I start now? Just here to vent a little.

Currently living in unstable conditions with my parents. Just graduated high school, enrolled in a certification program. 18, can't seem to land a job close by, parents going to divorce. Here I am, waiting two months, patiently for my 28 year old brother, who has a good paying job, to be able to send his old car my way. He was forced to replace the tires. That's done now, and now he wants 1,500 in cash. Parents tell me not to worry about paying for the certification class, and here I am making the payments they promised me and told me not to worry about. All the jobs I want to apply to are way too far. Can't go onto my parent's car insurance either, really, since my older brother (another one), who has been sitting on his ass for the past 4 years, finally went to college after I started going to college-- ridiculous. Even in arguments, I can't even seem to string my points together. It sounds all garbled, I'm so distraught by the issues, yet I always keep in mind, things are a lot worse out there. Trying to keep my head up, and just trying to keep composure.

After some consideration, I know you're still young but I think you should aim on increasing your independence. Don't know where you live but look into the public transportation options to the jobs you're interested in. Focus on getting your certifications - even if you have to pay for them somehow. Look at them as investments in your future and the key to not rely on your parents and siblings if you do not have to. Save some money so you can get your own car (whether or not through your brother) and insurance. Look at your brothers as lessons on what not to do.

Good luck and chin up.
