My wife broke her foot and couldn't walk for four months. It did a real number of our lifestyle. Ate out too much, couldn't do our usual activities. I had to take her to work, so that killed my gym routine. Throw in the stress and it was bad news.
Getting back into a decent routine is always tough. Took me a couple months to go to the gym for the first time after the break. After that it was a lot easier to maintain the habit.

We've had a couple of weeks full of birthday get-togethers, so I'm working off a few extra lbs. as well.
Christmas season is always a disaster for me. I have like no willpower at holiday parties, too many snackables. I counted last year, I had ten different holiday parties over eight weeks. Apparently everyone and their dog needs to host one.
I'd love to get to my goal before that rolls around.
