This was on like a 10 hour flight connecting to an 8 hour flight...

The freebie headphones are pretty bad on a loud plane...I need earbuds with rubber seals to block out the sound so I can hear without cranking up the volume.

I messed up my plug but fortunately it's pretty robust and I managed to bend it back into shape.

I finally caved and brought my over the ear headphones with me on my last long flight. So worth it. I hate having earbuds in for hours at a time.

You are thinking of Rio. I never felt unsafe there and I walked around drunk of my ass on more than one occasion.

I am put to condition of frustrated as I would love to wear glasses from time2time. Unfortunately, my eyesight is so poor due to astigmatism, extreme near sightedness, and -8.5 vision that the lenses I get prescribed are too thick and cause severe distortion in my peripheral FOV.

I feel I could really elevate my hamsomeness with a nice pair of frames, but alas, I will trek on with my lenses of contact.

Plus that rx will make your eyes appear smaller to others. Can be a difficult look

I got -8.5 vision usually wear compact lenses but when I'm not in the public eye so to speak (TV appearances, public lectures, etc) I wear glasses like nobody's business. (True fact though I strongly dislike my glasses didn't like any of the options at the eye doctor's just chose the least bad.)

I got beautiful blue eyes though (as reported by others I mean) don't like to conceal them with glasses.

Dang you guys are blind.

You ever notice the small print (he he) on those lasik ads on tv?  You know, $199 per eye?  Thats $199 per eye if your vision is better than -1.00  Thats basically normal vision.  If it is between -1.00 and -2.00 it jumps up to like $1399 per eye.  Hibbeldy-jibbeldy.

note: It is a pastime of mine to read the small print on ads.  Some of it is hilarious.

That's evil, considering people who are in the market for lasik would tend to be those who can't read fine print

I got LASIK and now I wear glasses again. Womp womp.

I was slightly off (I was trying to recall my memory)

does anybody ever get lasiked in just the one eye?

I have a coworker who went to get lasik and had to do prk instead.  Her vision was awful for weeks and apparently it was very painful.
