The FDA is telling us we can't eat raw cookie dough or brownie batter or anything that contains raw flour anymore because of E. Coli. Personally, I am going to ignore the gubment nanny state, so if I come on here complaining about bloody diarrhea and abdominal cramps, remind me of this post.

Gumbent nanny state just swiped a few more of my gun rights in CA.

In MN and SE WI it is definitely ethanol gas. Does IL charge different gas taxes based on grade? Maybe you Chicago area folks just have higher premium demand.

Only place I've seen "100% gas" is in Tennessee. It's usually not as expensive as premium, though.

I could do without the expression "woke" as in "aware of social justice related issues of the day." Seems kind of self-congratulatory as in if you don't have the views I have concerning justice issues it must be because your mente is in condition of slumber whereas I resist the temptation of lassitude got vigilance aforethought.

I'm getting annoyed that every time I visit the mobile version of ESPN, I'm greeted with the naked ass of someone named "Jake Arrieta"

I hate the automatic videos on the website. So annoying

Today I wanted to check in from time to time see how the Belgiums were doing at soccer but in doing so I kept having to see the buns of said Jake Arrieta to where eventually I was like "Oh to hell with it I don't care that much about the Belgiums game."

One of my weaknesses is that I am hell of sensitive to the presence or absence of sunlight. I've got SAD lamps at home and in my office to deal with days that are cloudy. But those don't help for when I first wake up in the morning. Today when I woke up I immediately had a feeling like it was going to be a hard day. I looked out the window and sure enough it was gray. I need to get one of those SAD alarm clock things that slowly adds light as wake-up time approaches that way I won't start the day behind the 8 ball.

i think they're called RAGE alarms. my wife uses one. wakes my ass up at the faintest glow at 430.

So it uses the light to wake you up rather than a sound?
It does both. The most important part, though, is that it slowly increases in brightness as it gets closer to the time the alarm is set to go off.

My wife has one and she really likes it.  I can sleep right through her alarm though, so who knows.

Good thing you don't live here then. It has been day light for at least an hour by 4:30 here.
