Google Calendar time zone support is terrible. Why isn't there a way to display events in both the current time zone and the time zone they're entered in?

has anyone else noticed how they keep wasting more and more of your time at the gas pump?

first, you needed to enter your zip code. that's fine, i understand that's a fraud prevention measure. then they started asking whether i wanted a car wash. now, do i want to use a rewards card? and oh since you have nothing better to do, look at this promo from Winn Dixie!

fuck you, no. stop wasting my time and take my payment so i can get my gas!

Sometimes the display on the gas pump asks me "Have you accepted the Lord Christ Jesus as your Saviour?" to where I'm like "Wha? Just let me buy gasoline that's why I pulled in here!" But if I don't press Yes or No I'm not allowed to continue with the transaction. I always press Yes just to avoid the hassle.

I think that's a local thing. Pumps here don't ask about car washes or rewards cars, and first-world states don't have Winn Dixie.

"A Boy Named Charlie Brown" might be one of the best movies of all time.

I am friends on Facebook with the animal shelter whence Diderik and Geneviève came. I am also friends with a lot of the people who run the shelter. Whenever an animal gets adopted, they post a pic with the animal and the adopter. Today there was a picture of a black guy and a white woman adopting a dog. In the comments a woman chimes in be like "Uhh, I hope you are doing thorough background checks on these adopters you know you can't just put these animals in to the hands of fate must needs do do diligence!!!" Obviously I don't know for sure what the woman was thinking, but I have noticed that this kind of comment typically only appears under "certain kinds of photographs" so to speak.

Dunno man, jaywalkers in DC are a little obnoxious. Some chick jakywalking almost walked right into a bicyclist (who had right of way and a kid in the carrier behind him) and kept moving like he didn't exist. Don't get me wrong I love to jay walk but I did admire some east ASian cities that totally respected cross walk signs.

Come to East LA - you'll learn not to jaywalk (or you'll learn how to dodge cars)

L'Incandescent should be proud of his home state, then. No jaywalking in Milwaukee.
