I work sort-of in Buckhead, I might be able to swing by next week.

Today's labor:

  • What was the name of my hot, 20-something geometry teacher?
  • Remember her name.
  • Facebook her.
  • She still hot!
  • SHE NO LONGER MARRIED!!!!
  • She a mormon.

Dammit.

Yeah, without alcohol, your shot with her is zero.  Pics for science though?

If I want to see the show or game I won't blink at it. But add $19 in fees to what you're calling a $21 ticket and you've pissed me off enough that I might pass on buying it out of scorn.

Interestingly they likely do it because they figure you're already committed to the transaction at that point, so you'll bitch about the fees but still pay it.

Often times businesses like this "subsidize" one side of the transaction.  Travel websites charge the airlines and hotels, Microsoft gives tons of resources to software developers, etc.  These websites for secondary market tickets are interesting.  I think long term they will have to change their models to be successful.

The pronunciation of "buoy" what a ridiculous word shouldn't even be in English.

Same goes for "quay" what's up with those boat-related words?

I heard a girl in law school pronounce queue as quayway.

God I would have loved to have fucked her.

They haven't been so lucky here. They were pretty much tackled to the ground and all the major venues dropped them after it hit the media hard.

I'm about to pay $65 for two $26 tickets to a show. Every event I go to that requires I use them comes with a 25% mark-up. It's disgusting.

I vaguely recall an article talking about how those ticketmaster fees go to the artist who want to set low prices to give an impression that their concerts are fairly priced. Ticketmaster gets called a shitbag instead of the artists.

But I also vaguely recall that the person who claimed this was a former CEO

I might have complained before, but this LOUD Temp we have in our office is driving me nuts. She's filling in as an Admin Assistant until they can hire someone full time and as far as I can tell was crossbreed with a foghorn. Seems incapable of answering the phones at an office appropriate noise level. ffffuuuu.gif

This girl I was kinda dating for a while (and I was her last serious thing) has gone back to the other side. Her GF looks, well, like me with glasses and slightly different hair.

Not sure what that means.
