Who you gonna call @Harold falcon
If I wanted a drunken rant about the violations of our rights and the evils of government, I can just listen to myself this evening. I don't know what else he is going to do.
I used to always bring fireworks for the 4th of July at the inlaws but after waiting for it to get dark and watching the local fireworks it would always be too late (dont want to piss off the neighbors)
I would then wait until new years to fire them off and freeze our asses off. Kinda ironic how the 4th of July is one of the longest days of the year and thus has the least amount of time for fireworks.
go to a tet festival, which is in the wintertime iirc.
i once went to a "safe and sane" "no fireworks" parade in the middle of the day, in one of the biggest vietnamese communities around. i watched as a moving truck full of (i'm assuming) bootleg fireworks went up in a crackly, poppy, smoky haze and the funny part was that everybody just pretended not to notice. weird.
