Just found out my uncle is in the ICU. He's suffered an embolism almost 20 years ago and has been in a lot of pain, and apparently od'd on his pain meds last night. Don't know if it was intentional but I'm guessing (hoping) it wasn't, because even with all his suffering over the years he's always been a really great guy. He's an uncle by marriage but everyone in my family loves the guy.

It doesn't help that I have stopped running too. So after a big meal, I pretty much crash on the couch and fire up some American Dad! re-runs.

It's worse than I thought. It didn't just happen, he's been in a coma since Sunday, and was on a breathing tube until this morning, when he started breathing on his own. I don't know too much about medicine but 5 days in a coma sounds pretty severe. My aunt has never been completely stable and this has got to be killing her.

That's not a path in life that I would pursue too strongly my friend.

Have not slept more than six hours since tuesday.

Have not eaten since tuesday.

I have six hours of classes today followed by a 10 hour shift. Friday is the busiest night.

Nothing wrong lol. There's a girl that all of my coworkers are friends with that kinda became my default best friend in Iceland, and she's been pregnant. The last few days were a bit rough for her (she's young and the dad is a deadbeat already) so I was keeping an eye on her and kinda forgot basic **** like food, sleep and hygiene. I just walked back from the hospital, where I spent the night holding her baby and sitting in the recliner, because she was too scared to hold her while she slept, but too tired from labor to stay awake. The lack of sleep and food is annoying, but holding a brand new person for a few hours was pretty damned cool. thank you for the concern, though

Do Icelandic babies have any particularly cool attributes? Are they super strong or have a natural resistance to cold or something?
