If I was suddenly financially independent I would spend the first six months merely decompressing from having to earn a living. Once I became accustomed to the feeling of not having to give up most of my week to pay for the rest of my week I might feel completely different over my next steps. However, from today's POV, my activities might include:

*immerse myself in the world of wine...and maybe in wine itself
*spend more time making music and gain more knowledge of music production
*create a home base somewhere in small town Scotland
*travel Europe extensively with emphasis on food, wine, and history

That should keep me busy for the next 40 years.

All I can think of doing is making sure my folks are OK. Then finding ways to garden and fish a bunch. I'd travel a bit but mainly I'd want to spend time with friends and maybe be on the board for the GSU Foundation or some big civic engagement project. I'd want to go to daily mass more. And be gluttonous while affording body shaping when it gets too gluttonous.

Actually I thought about that during my time off and I was like man I would totally love to like always golf and fish and shit and I was like as much as I like being alone like, how would I do it with people? I don't really have many friends and my bro/sis aren't really into that, no SO so I was like, well shit.

I ski with a buddy(for 30 years),surf by myself or sometimes with my daughter, fish with friends, always dive alone, always travel with my wife although she sometimes travels without me. I do all the cooking and gardening. I have single handed two additions onto my house, remodeled a bath and kitchen. I do handyman projects for friends and neighbors. I read a lot.Work is great jobs suck

You can meet new friends doing what you enjoy, whether working, recreating, praying etc etc.

Of course Baxta wants to sit next to Diderik. And of course Diderik does not like this, because you know he is a cat. The dog owner was completely oblivious to this. This has happened somewhat frequently when I've taken my cats to the vet. I wish dog owners could get it in to their noggins that cats are afraid of their dogs, no matter how friendly their dogs might be.

Our vet's office has separate entrances for dogs and cats (and their associated persons), and the lobby is divided with a plexiglass wall between the two sides. We just started going there and I laughed a bit when I first saw the two-door setup, but it's actually really nice if you have to wait a few minutes.

Life is a perpetual disappointment. Deal with it.

I would do the same thing I do now, with the knowledge that I could quit whenever the hell I wanted.

One of my weaknesses as a man of mente is that I invent scenario's be put me to condition of Angst. For example, if it takes me a little longer than usual to find the correct key to my door, I think "What if I was being chased by a murderer had to get in my door fast I would be dead right now." Or if I get knot in my shoelaces struggle to undo it I think "What if my concentration gets so absorbed in untying this knot that I fail to notice a threat to my life in my envierment?"

I hate when you get shipping confirmation emails that allegedly have the tracking info link, but they take you to the store's website.  As an example, eBay sent me one, which forces me to log into ebay then it doesn't really give me any info - I have to copy the tracking number and go to the shipper's website or put it into Google.

Golf Hat should help you with that tracking info hey let's set up a meeting I'm available on Friday talk through the product how it works and such.

There's a concherversy brewing at Uni Watch over what to call the color that is on the uniforms of the Green Bay Packers, Pittsburgh Steelers, Oakland Athletics, and also the old St. Louis Rams uniforms. The standard practice is to call it gold, but a vocal minority insist on yellow. I myself think it is rediculous to call that color gold, since that is the name of a distinct color (cf 49ers, Fighting Irishes). I would like to use my platform here at Styleforum to change said practice at least in the United States of America let's from now on just call that color yellow.

(In the town where I grew up, the school's colors were purple and "gold" i.e., yellow. When I was a youngster I always said "purple and yellow" and my mother always corrected me said "No no, that is purple and gold!" I never understood that convention, even dating back to my earliest years.)

(I will also add that when I was a youngster I described certain other human beings as having yellow hair didn't understand why I should call them by the fancy word of "blonde.")

EDIT: Just realized that my car is pert near exactly the color of the old St. Louis Rams pantalones and yet ain't no one even once referred to my car as gold.
