"He'd probably be doing better if he didn't have that double bogey."

Wow thanks for the insight.

Even though it is a word of Dutch origin (koekje) I do not like the word of cookie. I avoid saying it whenever possible. Luckily I do not eat said nutriment very often, to where I don't have many occasions to say it. But still.

You're welcome.

This reminds me - I order a few books from Amazon last Saturday. Two were coming from Amazon and one from a private seller in California. I don't use Amazon too often so I don't have prime, but I didn't need the books quickly anyway. The private seller's book got here this afternoon, the 2 from amazon just shipped today, expected to arrive next Thursday. Why the hell does it take a week to package 2 small books for shipping? Do they actually slow down processing to push people to pay for prime?

>Be me.
>Be at the bar.
>Be settling my tab.
>Be seeing these two hotties, 7/10 and 8/10.
>Make a few small jokes they laugh
>Introduce myself, they are cool with.
>Make a few more jokes, more laughs
>Get my tab.
>Super flirtily "So where to next, Ed....?"
>"Actually, I am really old so I am going to bed."
>"Well then goodnight loser."

Just when I think I have hit the lowest of low with my game... I find out there's a deeper pit to mine.

TMW a person who is fat tells you that "you should eat more of your own chelly help you put some pounds on that frame of yours which is too svelte. It's a health thang." Now I'm a businessman and I don't want to offend, but in my mind I am thinking "your estimate of appropriate body weight is distorted by you are fat."

Man, that is a word that I straight up hate to say. I also hate to hear it, especially when people pronounce it as "pahntehs" as so many do nowadays. But even if it's pronounced in a reasonable way I still hate it. It's like nails on the chalkboard, so to speak.

I'm going to vent a little bit here. I am working on drafting language for a policy. Some people who I'm engaging with don't like the wording. I reply to them in some detail explaining why the wording is the way it is, what problems the wording is meant to solve and what potential problems it's meant to avoid. What I get in response are curt messages like "that's irrelevant" or "that doesn't matter, change it to this." In real life I am a patient and kind person, and so I resist responding in a way that would demonstrate my annoyance. But I really am getting kind of pissed about this.

EDIT: I just sent out another polite, reasonable message in response to a curt e-mail. We'll see what I get back.

What I got back was another curt, dismissive e-mail which demonstrated that its author did not bother to read carefully what I had written. And in an act of considerable self discipline, I sent back another collegial reply in which I emphasized the goals of isolating what the specific disagreement is and addressing it effectively.
