Ever since I was a kid I've had this notion that Rhode Island was a cool place . I don't even know why . Guess I was wrong .

I'm still terribly disappointed that it's not really an island.

After the first round of voting, the NFL owners look like they're leaning strongly toward accepting the Rams' plan to move to Los Angeles. Looks like I'm going to have to find a new team to root for (sure as hell will not be the LA Rams) probly the Green Bay Packers squad.

Also, I am tired of hearing people be say "No way the NFL would ever grant a team to a city what has lost two NFL franchises." I'm like "Umm..."

They actually lost three. And now all three want back in.
Yes, that is exactly my point. People say that about St. Louis, which has lost one and will probably lose another very soon. But Los Angeles has lost two, or three if you want to count the Chargers one-year stay. (I don't know if it's fair to count AFL teams, but the point remains basically the same.)

To lose one team may be regarded as misfortune; to lose two looks like carelessness.

If the Chargers and Rams end up moving in together, then the Chargers should at least be forced to change their primary uniform to the powder blue one. Otherwise you'll have two teams in the same stadium with color schemes that are way too similar. (The Chargers look ridiculous in navy anyway.)

this week has been kind of stressful...

Warning: Spoiler! (Click to show)
I was staying at my empty assed house in CT getting it ready for the new renters. sleeping on inflatable mattresses, getting the final small things ready to move back to Nashville.

the renters at my house were happy that I left some old furniture (dressers/tables chairs/out door stuff/grill/ect) but then pulled a 180 and said they wanted to buy new furniture for a possible future house in the next year... so I had to scramble and find movers/storage (i tried to give my shit away and it was more of a hassle, ended up paying out the nose to movers/storage). Then my wife goes on a cleaning frenzy, and I keep pleading to her that she doesn't need to clean because I hired cleaners to come, but she's paranoid that the cleaners won't do a good job so she's cleaning the house herself anyway and I'm to tired and not stupid enough to try to argue about it.

then we load up the station wagon with a ton of unnecessary shit (enough to fill up the back an have no rear view) because the wife is a pack rat and we drive 14 hours back to nashville.

the day we arrive to the new house in nashville we hear our smoke alarm go off... its a carbon monoxide leak.... I call a guy and apparently the gas heater install was total shit and I need to have it totally reinstalled... thats 4 thousand bucks... ffffuuuu.gif

so I'm sitting in a motel near the house because its colder in Nashville at night than fucking Connecticut and well, there might be a carbon monoxide leak (even with the main line closed).

one good thing though the guy who's doing the repair comments that the gas heater and HVAC are supposedly the top of the line super efficient stuff, supposedly with a proper install gas and electric even in the dead of winter or summer wont go above $100/month fully blasting the heat/cooling in the whole house.

$4k to reinstall a water heater?  How is that even possible?  Did they have to replumb and vent?

Prostitution used to be legal in RI. I think they changed it a few years ago but for decades it was the go-to spot for legal hookers in the Northeast.

its the heating unit - the hot water and heat that runs off gas. all the ducts, gas pipes, and vents were so shittily installed, the hvac and heating unit are at least brand new (installed this summer) and supposedly awesome units (everyone that sees them comments things like: you've got the awesome so-and-so unit these are awesome!).

Goddammit, it's official now. In the big scheme of things, this is not a big deal of course. But irregardless I'm pissed off about it. (I am talking about the Rams in case it was not obvious from context.)

Welcome to the Packers family! Where should I send the pink cheesehead?

Okay looks like things are Escalading pretty quick just got a PM from NFL Headquarters basically trying to silence me to where I can't use my position as Internet superstar to throw shade on the NFL brand. It said "If you continue to speak out against the relocation of the Rams franchise your right to attend NFL games will be alvrogated. If you share this PM with the wider public, then your right to purchase NFL merchandise will be alvrogated as well. Do not doubt our resolve in this matter." I replied "If you keep sending me these stupid-ass mensajes then your right to be free of kicks to the groing will be alvrogated."
